Ecuador’s stunning scenery and abundant nature
is breathtaking, though the smallest of the Andean Countries.
The Galapagos Islands, with its remarkable array of birds and
animals, brings nature within arm's reach. Ecuador also has a long
and fascinating history, with both colonial and Indian traditions.

Arrives Tue. into Guayaquil
Amazonas Region
Requires a pre-excursion overnight in Quito.
One of the richest ecosystems in the world, Ecuador’s Amazonas region is a vast
area of thick rainforest with rivers feeding into the Amazon River. Fly from Quito
to Coca, then explore the area from a riverboat or jungle lodge. Lodges are
located 1½ to 2 hours by boat from the airport in Coca. Our lodges are similar
in construction – they are built of native materials with thatched roofs. All have
a private bath and electricity during certain hours of the day. Each serves as a base
from which to do jungle treks and canoe tours with naturalist guides.
Experience magical Ecuador, its culture and its natural resources. Begin in Guayaquil,
port city and gateway to the Galapagos Islands. You will spend 2 nights in Ecuador’s
largest city before flying to the Galapagos Islands for a 4-night cruise on the M/V
Galapagos Legend. Truly an unforgettable experience, the Galapagos Islands will
introduce you to birds and animals that are unique to this environment. You will
meet giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, the Galapagos albatross,
and many other species in this living museum. After the cruise, fly to Quito to
continue the rest of your adventure. Situated at 9,300 feet in the heart of the
Andes, Quito is just south of the Equatorial Line. Spend 2 days exploring Quito
before going to the jungle. A 30-minute flight will take you to Coca, in Ecuador’s
Amazonas region, where you will transfer by motorized canoe 2½ hours down
the Napo River to Sacha Lodge. Spend 3 days exploring the rainforest. Return
to Quito for 1 night before returning home.
