Nighttime temperatures can be in the low 50s. We will be outside walking around for three of the four nights. Students should bring (in one suitcase and one backpack): Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, soap, shampoo, brush/comb, etc.) Linens and towels are provided by the 4H Center and hair dryers, irons, and ironing boards are available. 5 sets of underwear/socks 23 pair of long pants 12 pairs of shorts 3 long sleeve shirts and 1 short sleeve shirt 1 pair of sneakers or comfortable shoes (we do a lot of walking) 1 sweater/sweatshirt/fleece layer a warm coat, hat, and mittens or gloves for walking around at night Dress clothes for a special night out (dress/skirt/pants and a nice blouse or shirt for girls; dress pants and a nice shirt for boys) 1 pair of dress shoes 1 backpack and 1 piece of luggage camera (optional) 1 raincoat or poncho 1 reusable water bottle laundry bag or plastic bag (for dirty clothes) books and quiet games notebook, pen, and pencil Note: No candy or gum will be allowed on the trip. Personal electronic devices and handheld games will be allowed for this trip on the bus and at designated times in the rooms as long as headphones are in use or the sound is turned off, in order not to disturb others. PARENTS, PLEASE ENSURE THAT GAMES, MUSIC, AND ANYTHING ELSE ON THESE DEVICES ARE APPROPRIATE FOR SCHOOL. Phones are to be used ONLY for taking pictures, texting or calling friends or family is not allowed. Phones used for these purposes will be held by the school trip leader. Please keep luggage to one bag and a small backpack, which will be needed to hold a water bottle, camera, jacket, sweater, etc., while walking around during the day.
