Growing Stronger: Simple Ways to Build Back Your Strength: Without regular physical activity and exercise, women
lose more than seven pounds of muscle per decade and gain at least that much in body fat. Join Paul and Monica
Robinson, co-owners of Kneifel Robinson (KR) Personal Training, to review some of the encouraging research on aging,
strength, bone density and function. Practice simple strengthening exercises to help turn back the clock. Hands on
demo session. Wear comfortable clothing and non-slip shoes.
Anne’s Story: My Journey of Health and Healing: Life is never simple and straight forward. When Anne was in her
20’s, busy working and raising three young children, she was diagnosed with a devastating form of multiple sclerosis.

What the Body Remembers: Listening - and Writing - from the Reptilian Brain: Award winning author Margaret
Macpherson believes the act of writing can be instrumental in the act of healing. Old hurts and patterned
behaviour are held in the body and the brain. Releasing them onto the page can be a transformative process that
springboard us back to wholeness. Join Margaret for a lively workshop that involves some talking, some writing
and, if you want, some sharing. What is your body saying to you?

Living Lightly: Altering Your Personal Storybook: Living lightly is about letting go of the stuff that weighs
us down and developing an attitude of living with fewer burdens and encumbrances. Using mixed media art
materials, you will be guided to begin to create a mini altered life storybook, filled with the unique images,
metaphors and symbols of your life. Nancy, Art Therapist, will help you embark on a journey to explore the power
of your imagination and create a one of a kind work of art. Hands on experiential session. No art experience

Packing Your Carry On: Essential Tools for Enhancing Wellness and Resilience: Join Sharon and Brittany to learn
more about the symptoms of post- traumatic stress disorder and the ongoing consequences of living in high stress
environments. Understand the flight, flight and freeze response and explore Dr. Francine Shapiro’s Adaptive Information
Processing (EMDR) theory on processing overwhelming events. Learn strategies such as grounding, containing, calm
place, inner coach, and future success imagery to regulate your emotions and physical responses during times of stress.
Take home tools will be provided as well as links to other free tools, workbooks and phone apps.
Walk like an Egyptian, Eat like a Mediterranean: Tips for Better Health! It shouldn’t be about what you can’t eat,
rather the focus should be on what you can eat. Come and discover the basics of the Mediterranean Diet, a way of
eating that emphasizes plant based foods such as vegetables and fruit, legumes, nuts and olive oil. The benefits: a
healthier heart and possible reduced risk of inflammation. Klara will outline tips on how to sneak in more fruit and
vegetables. She will also provide tasty samples of entrees featuring legumes to help you feel more confident in
planning meatless meals. Also discover new ways to cook and serve fish. A tantalizing session to help you put your
best fork forward!
BeMoved® Dance Fitness: BeMoved® is a new dance fitness experience for adults of all movement abilities. It will
inspire you to embrace dance as a lifelong path to health, joy and fulfillment. Learn choreography while cutting a rug
to the great music of the era, ranging from classics by The Drifters and The Spinners to contemporary re-stylings by
Jersey Boys and Glee. No dance experience required. Steps are simple and easy to learn. Wear comfortable loose

same way for years and years. Maybe it’s time for an update. Staff from Shoppers Drug Mart will share tips and
secrets to help you look good and feel great. A fun easy way to put a new spring in your step!
