Rosa went to the city

Rosa went to the city
In a small zoo of a big city, there was a baby elephant. Her name was Rosa. She was
lovely and cute. A lot of people liked her and always saw her in the zoo. The zookeeper
liked her too. They gave her plenty of food. However, she was lonely. She wanted to escape
from the zoo.
One day, the zookeeper fed Rosa some food and went away. He forgot to lock the
door of the cage. Rosa wanted to leave the zoo. She thought, ‘Yes, I can go out to find my
friends!’ She ran out of the zoo quietly. She played on the road. She felt excited because she
saw something she had never seen.
Suddenly, Rosa saw an icebox. She used her trunk to grab the ice cream. She thought
it was delicious. Then, she went into a TV shop. She watched TV and found some elephants.
She said hello to them. But the elephants didn’t give her any replies. She was disappointed.
Finally, she went into a forest. She saw an elephant. They chatted together and
became friends.

My Best Friend
Jane is my best friend. She is nine years old. Her birthday is in July. She is 146
centimetres tall. She is shorter than me. She is 43 kilograms. She is heavier than me. She has
curly black hair.
Jane’s favourite hobby is doing karate. She likes doing karate because it is fun and
relaxing. She feels interested and delighted after doing it. She sometimes does karate in
Sheung Shui Sports Centre. She does karate with her mother. She does it better than her
mother.
I think Jane is helpful. She always helps the teachers distribute worksheets and helps me
get improved in my studies. Also, she is generous. If some students do not bring their
stationery, she will lend them the stationery immediately. Moreover, she is nice because she
has a good temper. I like Jane very much. I am very pleased to be her best friend.

Eating out
Last Sunday, Tommy, his mum and dad went to Big Sam Sam Buffet Restaurant in Sha
Tin. They had a buffet dinner since it was a Christmas holiday. They went there by MTR
train. They arrived there at six o’clock. They were excited.
When Tommy and his parents were in the restaurant, they saw many different kinds of
food from different countries. Tommy found Japanese noodles, Italian pasta and American
burgers on the front counters. Mum thought the Italian pasta was the yummiest. It smelt the
best too. Dad thought the American burgers were the most interesting. They were satisfied
and delighted because the food was fresh and delicious.
Then, Tommy and his parents started to comment on the food. ‘The desserts were
yummy. The jelly tastes delicious. But, the vanilla ice cream tastes more delicious than the
jelly. The cheesecake tastes the best. The vanilla ice cream looks beautiful. The jelly looks
more beautiful than the vanilla ice cream,’ said Tommy’s mum. ‘I think the tomato salad
looks bad. But, it is the most delicious because it is fresh,’ said Tommy’s dad. ‘The steak is
salty but it is tender and tasty. The chicken looks the worst,’ said Tommy.
Very soon, it was eight o’clock. They felt full and satisfied. Tommy said, ‘I feel great.
The steak is my favourite.’ Dad told Tommy, ‘I am interested in coming back again after this
month.’ They then left Big Sam Sam Buffet Restaurant happily.
