Our Unique Facilities
Ceremony
Your Ceremony can be held in our purpose built Buddon Burn Suite which can seat up to
120 guests. This can be hired for £300. This price does not include the costs of the attending
registrars. Prices and further information is available from www.angus.gov.uk/registrars.

Wedding Reception
Our Inglesmaldie Suite can accommodate up to 150 seated guests for your wedding
breakfast and a maximum of 200 guests for your evening reception. Our minimum numbers
for a wedding breakfast in the Inglesmaldie Suite is 50 guests, however, during peak season
our minimum numbers are as follows:

Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort is classed as an approved venue to hold Civil
Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships in our Buddon Burn Suite.
Kingennie Court Weddings
For a smaller, more intimate wedding, our Kingennie Court Lodges and Marquee can be
used to host your Wedding ceremony, meal and accommodation. Our team can offer an
individual and personal service, tailored to you, for up to 20 guests which can include
accommodation for three nights, the wedding ceremony and meal, along with your own
private chef and waiting staff. Celebrate the biggest day of your life surrounded by your
favourite people and dramatic scenery, tucked away at the top of the resort.

Accommodation at the Resort
We have 14 Luxury, Waterside & Woodland Lodges sleeping from 2 to 10 which provide
exceptional accommodation for around 80 guests. Should the wedding party wish to get ready
in our lodges prior to the wedding then we recommend that accommodation is booked for
the night before and the night after the wedding as our check in time is 4pm and our check
out time is 10am.
The truly unique 18th Century Leannan Boathouse (Leannan meaning “Sweetheart” in
Gaelic), is the perfect, lavish hideaway for lovers. Located right on the water’s edge, with
French doors that open out onto a South facing deck – an ideal place to toast to your new
life together!
Kingennie Court North and South are exceptional sister lodges. The open plan living and dining
area has a real log burning stove and windows that look onto the spacious decking area and
the first tee of our 9-hole golf course, along with panoramic views stretching over to the River
Tay. With 5 twin ensuite rooms this is the ultimate space for bridesmaids, groomsman,
wedding guests, and for Stag or Hen parties.
Our Waterside lodges sleep up to six guests, with the bedrooms downstairs and an open plan
and spacious living and dining area upstairs. There are two patio doors at either gable end
leading onto balconies with breath taking views over the Fishing Pools and resort grounds
beyond.
Our Woodland lodges sleep 4 guests, with the exception of Glen Clova which sleeps 5, and
they are tucked away in Wooded corner of the resort.

Wedding Booking Terms and Conditions

A £500 Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable deposit is required to secure your booking within 14 Days of your
Provisional Reservation. This Provisional Booking will be released unless we hear from you within 14 Days.
A further deposit payment of £1000 will be payable 6 months prior to your wedding date.
Please note, even after initial deposit is paid, your booking will not be confirmed until you return a signed
copy of these terms and conditions.
Any accommodation required should be booked and paid for separately with the Lodge Administrator.
Please note, we cannot guarantee an early check in (prior to 4.00pm) or a late check out (after 10.00am) for
your guests who have booked our self-catering lodges. With the exception of the Leannan Boathouse and
Kingennie Court, please note that our lodges can only be booked on a minimum three-night stay.
The prices in our current brochure are valid until 31st December 2017 and are inclusive of VAT. However, all
prices may be subject to change with prior notification.
Please note that Weddings must have a minimum of 50 adult guests for the Wedding Meal in the
Inglesmaldie. And in peak season from 1st April- 31st October minimum number are 70 on a Friday, 80 on a
Saturday and 70 on a Sunday. No refunds will be given for any decrease in numbers. If your actual number
of guests fall beneath the minimum number set out in our quotation, we will still charge you for the
minimum numbers.
Weddings booked must incorporate a 3 course meal, drinks package and evening buffet.
Final Numbers of Guests Should Be Confirmed 6 Weeks Prior To Your Wedding Date. This is the Minimum
number of guests you will be invoiced for. The balance of your payment is due upon receipt of invoice and
a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your wedding date. No refunds will be given if numbers are reduced.
If you have opted for the two-choice menu, this must be pre-ordered at least 10 days prior to the wedding,
using Forbes of Kingennie’s Wedding Pre-Order Spreadsheet which will be emailed to you in advance.
Forbes of Kingennie will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of any personal property on our
premises before, during or after the event. We recommend that all clients take out insurance for their
wedding day.
All wedding gifts and cards brought to the resort on the day by guests are solely the responsibility of the
bride and groom. Forbes of Kingennie will not be responsible for receiving wedding gifts / cards.
Forbes of Kingennie will not be held responsible for the set up, use of, or removal of items hired from third
parties, for example Chair Covers and Flower Arrangements. Any table decorations, place cards, favours,
etc, that you supply to Forbes of Kingennie for our Operations Team to set up on the day, must not be
brought to the resort any earlier than 24 hours prior to the wedding. All of these items must be collected
from the resort by 11am the morning after the wedding, as well as items hired from an external supplier. If
these items are not removed by this time, then Forbes of Kingennie has the right to dispose of them.
If you are looking to hire large items of equipment from suppliers, e.g. photo booth, sweetie cart, then
please check with the resort before booking these, as depending on your numbers, these additional items
may not be feasible to place in the room.
Forbes of Kingennie will not take delivery of wedding cakes until the day of the wedding.
Please note that you shall be required to pay for any loss or damage to any part of the resort premises, or
to any fixtures, fittings and equipment which are caused by the hirer or guests. We will not be held
responsible for damage to any article brought into the premises.
We ask that parents and guardians supervise their children at all times due to areas of deep water around
the resort.
We do not allow any guest to bring alcohol onto the premises or for any of them to consume alcohol in the
car park areas and resort grounds. Please make your guests aware of this policy, and should any of them be
caught breaching this policy, they will be asked to leave the resort.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges will apply:

6 - 9 months’ notice – 50% of the total estimated value (based on numbers given at
enquiry stage)
• 3 – 6 months’ notice – 75% of the total estimated value (based on numbers given at
enquiry stage)
• Less than 3 months’ notice – total estimated value (based on numbers given at
enquiry stage)
