In Reception class the Gingerbread Man helped us with our Maths.
We put buttons onto the Gingerbread Man and the fox kept taking some away!
In Year 1 we have been learning how to tell the time, using words like hour, minute, half past,
earlier, later, before and after. We took part in 5 minute challenges to see how many jumps we
could do in 5 minutes, pages of our book we could read, tricky words we could write, if we could
build a tower as tall as us in 5 minutes and how many cheerios we could thread!
In Year 3 we went outside to investigate making shapes using sticks. We made patterns then looked
at the shapes we had made. We explored making different types of angles and parallel and
perpendicular lines.
In Year 4 we were given a problem, ‘Sail Away,’ to solve in teams, using the outdoor play area.
‘2 men and 2 women want to sail to an island. The boat will only hold 2 women OR 1 man
How can all 4 of them get to the island?’ Can you work out the answer?
