What’s been happening:
The Lyons Library continues spending time making valuable improvements to the building.
We have recently begun to update the computer chairs, new computer tables with dividers
for more privacy, and new chairs for the reading areas. We have made changes to our copy
machine. The copier system now includes copier, computer prints, fax system and scan
from the same station. We are in the process of acquiring the attachment for credit and
debit card use at these machines. We continue to have weekly programs for the children of
Lyons as well as providing better entertaining programs for all ages. Our continual research
of books and DVD’s provides our patrons with interesting reads, bestselling authors, and a
DVD collection sure to be enjoyed by all.
Lyons History—
We are planning to have a “History of Lyons” section in the library. Do you have items pertaining to the “History of Lyons”? Would you consider donating them to the new project?
Let us look at the items and see if it could be added to the collection.

us.
Donations—
From time to time we receive generous donations from benefactors. These donations carry
a matching grant stipulation. What you may perceive as a small donation could be turned
into a major benefit to the community.
Forgotten Treasures—
Remember the book you just couldn’t put down or never had time to read? Stop by to pick
up “A Forgotten Treasure”. Do you have a book recommendation? Let the staff know and
