OPENING THE BASEBALL CONCESSION STAND
The stand will be unlocked by Alicia Ver Meer
PIZZA: Pizza is ready for pick up by 5:15 from the Quick Stop unless notified by Jeremy. Serve
pizza slices on a paper plate with a napkin. Pizza will be stored in the pizza warmer during the
game. Sell for $1.00 in last innings of game. Dispose of any leftover pizza
CASH BOX: The cash box will be in the cupboard under the pizza stand.
POPCORN: The popcorn is kept in the freezer. The popcorn oil and salt are kept in the
refrigerator. Start the popcorn popper using the instructions on the front of the popcorn machine.
Use 1/3 cup oil, 1cup popcorn, and 1 tsp. salt. Kettle switch must be switched off once the batch
of popcorn is made.
CANDY & GUM: Move a sample of each chocolate candy from the refrigerator to the display
shelf. Sell the chocolate from the refrigerator, keeping only the sample on the display shelf. The
non-melting candy and gum is kept on the lower display shelves.
POP, WATER & GATORADE: Sell bottles from the cooler at price listed on the white board.
HOT DOGS: Fill bottom of electric fry pan with water to prepare hot dogs. Serve with bun on
paper trays or napkin. You may also cook individual hot dogs in the microwave. Hot dogs stored
in refrigerator. Buns may be on counter by fry pan or in refrigerator. Remove ketchup and mustard
from refrigerator and place on serving counter.
NACHOS: Use crock pot liners for easier clean up. Liners are found in the supply tote. Fill crock
pot liner 2/3 full of nacho cheese. Warm the cheese in the crockpot bowl in microwave for 1-2
minutes and then place in crock pot. Serve with chips in nacho serving dishes. For Diamonds
games microwave cheese as needed instead of using crock pot.
FREEZEES: Keep in the freezer until sold. Clip off end with scissors.
SLUSHIES: Ice is in the ice machine. Syrups are either in fridge or sitting beside slushie machine.
Only make slushies as they are ordered. Use scoop and put ice in the top of the slushie machine,
turn it on, and push the handle down to push the ice through, then turn machine off. Fill plastic
cup with crushed ice, add 3-4 squirts of flavor, and serve with spoon. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE
THE SLUSHIE MACHINE – THE DRAIN HOSE WILL FALL OFF. Make sure drain hose is
positioned in bucket under counter.
RESTROOMS: Check to make sure doors are unlocked; uses the same key as the concession
stand if you need to unlock. Check to see if there is enough toilet paper and paper towels. Extra
paper products are kept in the concession stand.
**Prices on food & drink items are not to be altered. The concession stand is a fundraiser and money
raised helps support youth activities in our town. Concession stand workers may have 1 bag of popcorn
free. Please pay for everything else. Umpires may have 1 free drink of choice, 1 bag of popcorn, and

CLOSING THE BASEBALL CONCESSION STAND
POPCORN: Dispose of left over popcorn. Wipe off inside and outside of glass walls with wet
paper towel. Empty the seed tray underneath popcorn machine. Turn off all buttons on popcorn
machine.
CANDY & GUM: Place all chocolate candy back in the refrigerator. Non-melting candy can be
left on bottom display shelves.
POP & WATER & GATORADE: Restock the cooler with available cans or bottles from the
fridge. Replenish fridge if necessary. Leave cooler plugged in. (put newly stocked items in back
of old.)
HOT DOGS: Hand out or dispose of any leftover hotdogs. Wash the frying pan if used. Place
extra hot dogs, buns, ketchup, and mustard back in refrigerator.
SLUSHIES: Empty all leftover ice from inside of machine and place in sink or throw outside.
Wipe down machine. Empty drain pail. Wipe off syrup containers and place back in refrigerator.
WATER HEATER: Switch above water heater stays on.
FLOORS: Sweep the floor.
GARBAGE: Empty small garbage canister into large dumpster outside behind the concession
stand.
STAND: Wipe off serving counter. If any supplies are running low, please write them on the
grocery list on the refrigerator. Close the large overhead door and make sure it locks in place.
Turn off lights. Lock the overhead door by inserting large staples into the door track. Alicia Ver
Meer will lock walk-in door. After game return the cash Box to the cabinet under the sink
RESTROOMS: Please turn off lights in restrooms and pull doors closed. Make sure water is
turned off and toilets are flushed. Empty restroom garbage into the large dumpster.
