MS SQL Server DBA/Developer
We currently have an immediate need for full time ASP.NET Systems Developer. The primary focus of this position is the database
administration of our SQL servers. This would include many functions like reviewing jobs and back up processes, random testing of
backups, and database performance monitoring and tuning. On the side of the data developer, you will be handling things like data
warehousing, managing data integrity with inbound and outbound feeds, and creating/updating lots of procs and triggers.
Candidate must possess the following:

• Three+ years working as a senior level SQL DBA
• Strong TSQL skills
• You should be familiar with For XML, Merge, CTEs, DMVs, and the
more common DBCC commands
• You should be able to review query plans and get an idea of what is
going on and possible ways to improve
• Understanding concepts of clustering and high availability
• An organized and creative self-starter
What you get to play with:
• SQL 2014, 2012
•SSIS – Many file deployments needed to be migrated
to package model deployment
•SSRS – Three report server instances
•SSAS – Several 2008 OLAP cubes and more SQL
2000 cubes need to be migrated
•SSDT – Not implemented yet but would be worth
looking into
•High availability groups
• Visual Studio 2015 & Team Foundation Server
• Windows 8.1 workstation w/three monitors
• VMWare Virtualized Servers
• Reddit (always a little spare time for it!)
• ERP: Sage 500 2013
• CRM: SalesForce
• EDI: 1EDISource/HQ & Globalscape Information Exchange
It would help you stand out if you also have:
• Five+ years working as a senior level SQL DBA
• Having created and maintained the hardware configuration and
understanding best practices
• Experience with an ERP system (Sage 500 a big plus)
• Created/Maintained any of the SQL abbreviations: SSIS, SSRS,
SSAS, SSDT
• Worked on EDI systems and document mappings
• PowerShell, don’t you love it?
• Having walked in the shoes of a developer: C#, VB.net, JavaScript,
XML, JSON?
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Able to understand big picture goals and translate with attention to
detail
• Degree preferred but not required
A few others hats you might wear:
• EDI: reviewing/updating EDI transactions, setting up
customers for and/or mapping new EDI documents
• BI: Creating reports, cubes and managing corresponding access
• Developer: Depends on your skillset, but there could be places where
you can play and expand your knowledge
