Using a mind mapping activity ask students to identify all the skills,
talents and qualities in the classroom. Students should be encouraged
to use positive reinforcement during this activity to highlight the
special skills, talents and qualities of all students, regardless of their

skills, talents and personal attributes to a potential occupation
For example:
Skill - great at soccer; plays in school team
Talent - excellent physical coordination
Quality – good listener and communicator
Possible Career Option – lifestyle coach/personal trainer
This activity could be completed in pairs, with students asked to
identify future career options for their partners. If possible, aim for at
least one example for each Skill, Talent and Quality
