4-Day Intensive Supply List
What will you need to purchase for this Course:
The following is a list of supplies you will need to bring to the 1st day of class. Most will be used
throughout the 4 sessions. Some you will have to purchase, some you may find around the
house. I have marked a few items as optional. There also will be a set of tools, some glue,
hammer, tape and a few other items—provided in the classroom (you can share).
Materials Fee: Please bring $25 cash (payable to the instructor) to the 1st session for materials
such as (not limited to) wire, beads, elastic, etc. for projects that will be created in the first 2 or
more classes.
Essential for Day 1 + 2:
Pliers: (see suggested stores-pg 3 for cheap beginner pliers)

Chain nose- not to be confused with needle nose- (they look similar – but chain nose do
not have teeth/ridges)

Round nose – cone shape- w/small point – to gradually larger

Wire (flush) cutters – try to get a pair that come to a nice point- for tight spaces
Other essential tools/materials:

Needle Files (Bead stores and most hardware stores carry them as a set- or try Pearl
Paint – sculpture floor)

Plain -neutral light color/(or dark) hand towel –no patterns apx. 11x17 / or piece of felt, or
old large rubber mouse pad/ or cut piece of old yoga matt / or rubber table place matt

Small inexpensive cookie sheet, tray, or Tupperware top, or a large shoe box cover
approx. 11x17 (optional- but useful)

Bic soft feel round (not octagonal) pen or any brand with a soft narrow rubber like shaft
and removable top (not a click top)

12 -24" ruler (24”works best) or in a pinch--a plastic sewing tape measure

Sharpie - black (extra fine point permanent marker)

Blue Painter’s Tape (hardware store will have this)

Toolbox- (fishing tackle box/art bin/jewelry bin) or small low containers - Tupperware-like
with dividers or take out containers - something to keep your tools, supplies and beads
in

Note book or folder (something to keep notes from class in)

Pen or pencil

Chopstick- cheap round wooden (from take-out)- unused/clean (will have few to share in
class)

Popsicle stick (craft stick) – clean (optional- will have some in class)

Sharp scissors (manicure ones are fine)
Will use the following on days 3 and 4 (so you can wait – before leaping, then you will know
exactly what to get):

G-S Hypo Cement or Super glue- (not crazy glue), or clear nail polish (in a pinch)

Hat pin, corsage pin, T pin, or (last resort-large safety pin)

Jewelry Tweezers – with very pointy tips

Crimper pliers (standard)

Micro-Crimper pliers

Small Wire cutters or additional old scissors

Flat nose pliers
Additional pair of chain nose pliers.
Beads and things of your liking - maybe you have an old necklace, beads or buttons
lying around you want to make into something new.
Nylon Jaw (wire straightening) pliers
Suggested: (highly suggested)
 Protective glasses- or clear/regular glasses at the least- to protect your eyes while
working with wire.
Many of the supplies listed above can be purchased at Craft Stores, Jewelry supply stores,
