Fast and Speedy it’s the Peregrine Falcon!

Have you ever seen a falcon catch its prey? Do you even know how fast it swoops down? Well Peregrine Falcon is a fast animal that can dive down at amazing speed to catch its prey. It can do all of the above incredible right? Well the Peregrine Falcon typically dives at the speed of 120 mph! That’s fast isn’t it?
A Fast Moving Animal
Have you ever seen a falcon Ily through the sky at incredible speed? Well now you know some reasons why they beat animals to prey One very important thing that makes the falcon fast is that they have hollow bones to make them Ily faster. Another reason why is their feather shape helps them Ily fast without any trouble. This falcon can beat animals to prey by swooping down at the speed of 20 mph. Incredible! Have you ever seen that happen before? If so its amazing right?
Amazing Things
Did you ever see a falcon Ily above you at amazing speed? Well the peregrine falcon is probably twice as fast as you have seen it Ily before! Isn’t that amazing? This falcon can do some amazing things so let me tell you about some of them. This falcon can Ily at the speed of 80 mph and swoops down/up to catch it baby from a deadly fall. The falcon dives in high mountain ranges because predators cant Ily that high and eat them. Falcons are just unbelievable right?
DDT
DDT is a pesticide that helps plants grow. Bugs don’t eat the plant but the falcon likes to eat bugs, so it causes the falcon to eat the plant and get sick. “Uh oh! So they banned DDT from the U.S.A so the population is rising back up again,” says Sophie Joseph, a falcon expert from PS 290. Isn’t that unlucky for the Peregrine Falcon? Well, I think it is. It’s also considerate of the government to ban DDT. Falcons are repopulating once again! Peregrine Falcons are small but fast. The Peregrine has wit and skill. The Peregrine also can Ily at incredible speed and do unexpected things too. Did you ever see that happen before? Well, if you did it’s awesome, right?
If you want to keep on seeing that, you should try to prevent the cause of DDT from 1 affecting Falcons. Try and help stop that effect!
