Press release Somewhere in the world, xxxx July FISE WORLD SERIES HEADING TO NORTH AMERICA In September 2016, FISE World Series will stop in Denver and Edmonton featuring the first ever UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup The FISE World Series is a freestyle sports world tour, gathering all the best riders in the world in 5 disciplines: BMX, Skateboard, Mountain Bike, Inline skate and Wakeboard. It is free access for the public and the tour stops in 5 iconic cities around the world. The festival atmosphere and the action sports culture are its consistent ingredients with exhibitors’ villages, animations, initiations and demonstrations for the public. On each stop, the riders build up their ranking aiming for the prize money. A general ranking will establish the big winner in each discipline at the end of the tour. FISE World Series tour 2016 This year the world tour counts in total 5 stop in 3 different continents. After a successful first stop in France in Montpellier, a second one in Croatia in Osijek, the 2 next stops will take place in North America (Denver, USA and Edmonton, Canada) and the last stop in China in Chendgu. This year and for the first time the FISE World series (FWS) will be featuring the first ever UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup. UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup For the first time in its history, BMX Freestyle Park becomes a recognized bicycle discipline, as it is now certified by the UCI. This novelty in the cyclist world is the result of a great collaboration between UCI and FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes) through the launch of the UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup. The first edition of the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup 2016 will be taking place on the international FISE World Series competitions. 3RD FISE WORLD SERIES DENVER, USA – September 3 to 5. During 3 days, the capital of Colorado will host the action of skateboarding, BMX Flat land and BMX Freestyle Park contests on 2 exceptional sites, the Metropolitan State University and the Sculpture Park. We are heading to the city of Edmonton and the William Hawrelak Park, where all the FISE AREA team will set up their ramps. 4 disciplines scheduled with this new FWS destination: BMX Freestyle Park, BMX Flat, Skateboarding and MTB Slopestyle, enough to satisfy all extreme sports fans! Edmonton’s Hawrelak Park is the second stop of the North American adventure for the FISE World Series. This new collaboration with the city of Edmonton and Edmonton Event is an amazing opportunity for Canadian amateur and pro riders. Why having chosen Edmonton?
