Willert Barrier IV Mixing Screw
An Excellent General Purpose Screw for a wide range
of processing and mixing capabilities.
The Barrier IV Mixing is a special
purpose screw which improves mixing
and melt quality. This screw optimizes
mixing and melt homogeneity through
a barrier mixing section at the
discharge end of the screw where the
roots incorporate a matrix of eccentric
flats.
With the Barrier IV Mixing Screw, the
pellets and melt are not separated but
use the high viscosity of the melt to
knead the plastics. The result is a high
quality melt at low temperatures and
an improved recovery rate of up to
20%.
Applications-Streamlined design is ideal for heat
sensitive materials such as polycarbonate, ABS,
Vinyls, PET, etc.
