Outreach Sunday June 26, 2016 at 10:00 am Fools for God Rev. Karen Lindvig The Trickster archetype is reemerging in our time, forcing us to make this archetype conscious so that we can gain its gifts and avoid its downsides. Carol Pearson The selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. Kahlil Gibran 1 Corinthians 4:10 We are fools for the sake of Christ, but you are wise in Christ. For me the central point of coming to church is that it reminds me that the world is bigger than me, that I can find my values, but that it only matters when I bring those values out in my life. So today I am going to find a way to engage the pride parade and celebration. I am hoping to find new ways to show up to fight the fear that hate crimes bring. That is why I come to church: to help remind myself that I like myself so much better when I am not stuck in being scared, but when I join my husband and others in fighting fear; when I can find my values and live my values. I think Seattle Unity helps me do that. Jim Carroll Order of Worship Worship Music .........................................................
