BACKGROUND
The property owner of 1044 Euclid Avenue is constructing a new single family residence. This
lot is located at the northeast corner of Euclid Avenue and Central Avenue. As a condition of
development, the property owner is required to dedicate a portion of the corner of their lot
(referred to as a "corner cut-off') to allow for future improvement of the curb ramp to meet
street design standards and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The applicant has submitted the easement deed for City acceptance. The easement deed
document, legal description (Exhibit A), and plat map (Exhibit B) are attached along with
Resolution 14-01 accepting the easement deed.
II.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution 14-01 and authorize City Engineer to
execute the acceptance certificate and submit the easement deed to the County for recordation.

WHEREAS, the property owners of 1044 Euclid Avenue processed and received City
approval for construction a new single family residence, and
WHEREAS, the City of San Gabriel requested dedication of comer cut-off for street and
highway purposes on Euclid and Central in conformance with the City General Plan, and

WHEREAS, the property owners, Bonnie Tran-Hoa, Tony Hoa, Hung Tan Tran (Trustee),
13
and Chuong Tran (Trustee) have offered a "Easement Deed" to the City of San Gabriel for street
14
and highway purposes, and

WHEREAS, Bonnie Tran-Hoa, Tony Hoa, Hung Tan Tran (Trustee), and Chuong Tran
(Trustee) have executed said "Easement Deed," which includes Exhibit "A".

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council ofthe City ofSan Gabriel

does hereby accept the "Easement Deed," authorizes the City Engineer to execute the acceptance
19
certificate, and authorizes submittal of the documents and exhibits to the Los Angeles County
20
Recorder's office for recordation.

July 2, 2013 from Bonnie Tran-Hoa, Tony Hoa, Hung Tan Tran (Trustee), and Chung

San Gabriel, pursuant to authority conferred by Resolution No. 14-01 of the City of San
Gabriel adopted by the City Council of said City on January 7,2014 and the grantee
