Drawing from the recollections of his favorite books and movies, Wilfredo uses art to express his connection to some popular characters. Evoking similar inspiration and style, Harrison captivates his audience through combining carefully selected colors into rich designs. Both students enjoy artistic expression, and both have paintings in Melmark’s Traveling Art Show, which showcases the talents of children and adolescents diagnosed with autism. In its second year, Melmark’s Traveling Art Show continues to connect its students to communities across the region. This month, the Wayne Art Center will make its first appearance on the show’s circuit, as it continues to provide an environment that fosters inspirational and emotional development. In an effort to enhance and develop the cultural climate, the Center is a proven gathering place for students and artists alike. “We are honored to have our students’ artwork on display at the Wayne Art Center,” said Joanne Gillis-Donovan, Ph.D., Melmark’s President and CEO. “Our students are very talented, and here at Melmark, our mission is to showcase their abilities.
