Dear Incoming Middle School Students:
As part of the summer reading program, you are required to read one novel from the class list provided.
Choose a book from the list below for the grade you will be entering in August 2015. You should finish your
book before the first day of school.
During the first week of school, you will turn in your “One Pager Assignment” attached to this letter. It
can be done electronically (on Notability) or on paper.
Please Note: This assignment applies to all 6th grade students, 7th grade students, and 8th grade regular
English students. 8th grade Honors expectations are posted separately.
To summarize:
1. Read a book from your grade’s list.
2. Complete the “One Pager Assignment” and turn in the first week of school.
