Bottom Pieced Border should measure 8½" x 80½". Make a
total of two Top/Bottom Pieced Borders.

1. Referring to Diagram 1 and using 7½" seams between each
piece, sew seven 7½" x 8½" rectangles together in the following order: Fabric E (gray leaf on white print), Fabric J
(gray tonal), Fabric G (dark blue geometric print), Fabric B
(blue floral print), Fabric G (dark blue geometric print), Fabric J (gray tonal), Fabric E (gray leaf on white print) for one
Pieced Section. Pieced Section measures 7½" x 56½". Make
a total of two Pieced Sections.

9. Inner Border #3. Sew one 1½" x 70½" Fabric K (white tonal)
rectangle to each long side of the Quilt Center. Sew one 1½"
x 64½" Fabric K (white tonal) rectangle to each short side of
the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 64½" x 72½".
10. Inner (Pieced) Border #4. Sew one 8½" x 72½" Side Pieced
Border to each long side of the Quilt Center. Sew one 8½"
x 80½" Top/Bottom Pieced Border to each short side of the
Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 80½" x 88½".
11. Outer Border. Sew one 4½" x 88½" Fabric K (white tonal)
rectangle to each long side of the Quilt Center. Sew one
4½" x 88½" Fabric K (white tonal) rectangle to each short
side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Top should measure 88½" x
96½".
5. Referring to Diagram 5 and noting orientation of the units,
sew eight pieces together in the following order: one Side
Border Unit, one 4½" x 8½" Fabric B (blue floral print)
rectangle, one 4½" x 8½" Fabric J (gray tonal) rectangle, one
4½" x 8½" Fabric E (gray leaf on white print) rectangle, one
Side Border Unit, one 4½" x 8½" Fabric G (dark blue geometric print) rectangle, one 4½" x 8½" Fabric D (dark blue
leaf print) rectangle, one 4½" x 8½" Fabric J (gray tonal)
rectangle for one Side Pieced Border. Side Pieced Border
should measure 8½" x 72½". Make a total of two Side Pieced
Borders.

Finishing
1. Prepare the backing to measure 94" x 102".
2. Lay out the quilt top right side up on the top of the batting
and wrong side of the backing fabric.
3. Baste the layers together and quilt as desired. Trim the backing and batting even with the quilt top.
4. Sew the ten 2½" x WOF Fabric H (dark blue print) strips
together (end to end) using 45° seams to make a continuous
strip. Fold strip in half lengthwise (with wrong sides together) and press. Bind as desired.

6. Referring to the Quilt Layout Diagram, sew thirteen Sections
together in the following order: one 8½" x 56½" Fabric A (focal print) rectangle, one 2" x 56½" Fabric I (pale blue print)
rectangle, one 1½" x 56½" Fabric H (dark blue print) rectangle, one 7½" x 56½" Pieced Section, one 1½" x 56½" Fabric
H (dark blue print) rectangle, one 2" x 56½" Fabric I (pale
blue print) rectangle, one 8½" x 56½" Fabric A (focal print)
rectangle, one 2" x 56½" Fabric I (pale blue print) rectangle,
one 1½" x 56½" Fabric H (dark blue print) rectangle, one
7½" x 56½" Pieced Section, one 1½" x 56½" Fabric H (dark
blue print) rectangle, one 2" x 56½" Fabric I (pale blue print)
rectangle, one 8½" x 56½" Fabric A (focal print) rectangle.
Quilt Center should measure 48½" x 56½".

7. Inner Border #1. Sew one 2½" x 56½" Fabric K (white tonal)
rectangle to each long side of the Quilt Center. Sew one 2½"
x 52½" Fabric K (white tonal) rectangle to each short side of
the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 52½" x 60½".
8. Inner Border #2. Sew one 5½" x 60½" Fabric F (blue geometric print) rectangle to each long side of the Quilt Center.
Sew one 5½" x 62½" Fabric F (blue geometric print) rectangle to each short side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should
measure 62½" x 70½".
