Celebrate Irish Heritage!
Sunday, March 5 • 2:00pm
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Sheri Miller writes and
performs her soulful, Beatles-inspired love songs, while
accompanying herself on guitar and piano. She also sings
a wide range of popular classic favorites, including the
Beatles, Patsy Cline, Sam Cooke and Johnny Cash,
among others. Named one of Music Connection’s “Hot
100 Unsigned Artists,” Sheri has released two records
and has also collaborated with many Grammy Awardwinning songwriters.

Celebrate Irish Heritage with the haunting
and vibrant sounds of Siol na h’Eireann
(The Seed of Ireland) Pipe Band. Each
year, under the direction of Pipe Major
Vincent Robinson and band manager
Keith Hassett, Siol na h’Eireann has
led the New York State Ancient Order
of Hibernians Board in the NYC
St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The program will feature
Luke Powers on the uilleann pipes and will be
narrated by Mike McCormack, National Ancient
Order of Hibernians Historian.

Labor of Love
Sunday, March 19 • 2:00pm
146 workers, mostly young immigrant Jewish
and Italian girls, perished in the Triangle Factory
fire on March 25, 1911. This original play with
music, performed by Tre Bella and told through
the eyes of the workers, honors the victims in a
profound way through dance and music, laughter
and sorrow. Founded by JoAnn Robertozzi, Tre
Bella is a three-part harmony girl group that
celebrates the contributions of Italians and
Italian-Americans to American music. JoAnn will be joined by Rosie De Sanctis
and Lorraine Ferro, all of whom have had noteworthy careers in music, stage, film,
and television.

The Battle of Long Island

The Battle of Long Island, also known as the
Battle of Brooklyn, was the first major battle of
the Revolutionary War to take place after the
Declaration of Independence. In terms of troop
deployment and fighting, it was the largest
battle of the entire war. Retired history teacher
Dr. Kenneth Schwartz will explain the wartime
invasion of Brooklyn using historic maps,
artworks, music, and video clips. He will be
accompanied by Bob Winowitch, a uniformed
re-enactment soldier of the 3rd New York
Regiment, Long Island.

Bestselling author Mary Hogan will discuss her historical novel, The Woman
in the Photo, which tells the story of Clara Barton’s role in assisting in the
aftermath of the devastating Johnstown Flood of 1889, which claimed 2,000
lives, marking the true beginning of the American Red Cross.
Mary will be joined by Susie Huber of the Cambria County
Historical Society, who will present recently discovered
documents about the exclusive South Fork Fishing and
Hunting Club—which owned the dam that caused the flood—
and discuss some of the 19th century women who stood out
in the male-dominated Pittsburgh era of “Men of Steel.”
