Western Stock Show.
As you will see the core operations involved in
this year’s sale are the same as you’ve come to

and commitment to bringing you an offering of
UNEQUALED QUALITY and DIVERSITY.
The Western Elite, from its inception has focused on
being a first class event that is unique and different
than anything at the stock show featuring an offering
of “Elite Seedstock” from breeders that understand
the business and are in it for the long haul. As you
view this catalog that “Presents the Offering” we
hope it is clear that we have dug deep into our
herds to bring you an offering that again, is beyond
impressive.
The offering is deeper and more diverse than ever.
It is colorful…Twenty percent of the cattle are
Charolais influenced or Red and represent the very
Elite of Charolais and Club Calf Genetics. The
balance of the females are everything you have come
to expect of The Western Elite.
American Agriculture and especially the cattle
business are in a time of transition. It is more
important than ever to differentiate ourselves in
terms of quality. Those with the truly premium
products will thrive. Now is the time and the Western
Elite is the place to invest in quality genetics to put
your program in the DRIVERS SEAT for years to
come. Be sure to read about some of the Western
Elite success stories, there are numerous examples
of cows that doubled and even tripled there purchase
price with their first calf.
THE QUALITY RUNS DEEP…Please visit www.
ccollinsinc/westernelite to view the video previews.
The cattle will be in the “Yards” and available for
your inspection starting Thursday January 14th,

Bred 6/10 Fever Pitch (Bojo x Meyer 734) • Safe
SELLING ONE HALF INTEREST – POSSESION AND THE OPTION TO DOUBLE UP AND OWN HER ALL ARE NEGOTIABLE
AFTER THE SALE.
WHAT A WAY TO START THE SEVENTH ANUAL WESTERN ELITE. Novels could be written about the impact that
Irish Whiskey has had on the Maine Anjou and Club Calf business. Countless Champions and High Sellers are
direct descendant of this great sire…What is even more impressive is to study in depth the pedigrees of the
great cattle that are not direct descendent of Irish Whiskey…You will find him in the back ground of many of
them. His genetics have stood the test of time. YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS ONE TO TRULY APPRECIATE HER!!!
She redefines POWER AND MASS…AND IS A SOUND, AGILE AND BALANCED AS YOU CAN MAKE ONE. I could
go on for pages describing her but there is no need…If you can’t see this one is special, I can’t help you. She
is highly proven and flushes good. Her daughter, pictured here sells as Lot 49 and the MAB’s at DCC are very
impressive. She sells bred Natural service to Fever Pitch for a reason…Doc sees a HOMERUN COMING.

This four-year-old Who Made Who x Meyer 734 is about as good as it gets. In the footnote for Lot one I talked about
genetics that have stood the test of time…Well look here Ladies and Gentleman. The impact of these two legendary
sires borders on unimaginable. And the most amazing thing to me is how many generations back these two might
show up in a large percentage of Champions and High Sellers. AND TODAY YOU GET A CHANCE TO OWN PART OF
ONE THAT IS ABOUT IS GOOD AS YOU CAN IMAGINE. 2012 is flawless in her design, unequaled in balance, profile,
structure and mobility. She is stout, soft, powerful and as smooth as glass. She sells safe to Fever Pitch a Duello/
Collins Herd sire that may be the most overlooked and underutilized Bull in the business. The last two years at DCC
the Fever Pitches have been the best sire group. I can provide you a list of the Who’s Who of the business that will
verify that. I look forward to great things out of this cow.

From the heart of B3’s genetic program comes this steel grey cow. She is a daughter of B3 Wyoming Cowboy,
a natural calf out of B3 Miss Daisy R1 the corner stone of our entire Charolais program. The Maine Break
cow on the bottom side has produced progeny that have been high sellers along with Supreme Champion
Feeder Calf at WSF. A maternal sister by Foundation was a past high seller in the 2014 Western Elite. Based
on the consistency of these genetics, 176Y could break the bank with the Monopoly calf she is carrying.

This offering is absolutely loaded with BIG TIME DONOR
CANDIDATES….And this is certainly one of them. This
incredible Irish Whiskey daughter is WILD LOOKING and
productive!!! I bought her as a heifer calf from my good
friends Jim and Brian and Blind Badger Ranch and she has
been a real eye catcher ever since. I have two outstanding
daughters of her in the replacement pen and she has an
excellent Denver sized steer calf at the ranch. This star
studded baldy is a freak thru her front one third, long,
bold and level down her top…with a hip and hind leg to
die for. She is a big boned, awesome structured female
with as much balance and style as money can buy. She
milks excellent, has a good attitude and is just a beautiful

Here is another incredible Whiskey daughter out of as good

a truly unique combination of power and balance. You will
find this cow to display tremendous dimension down her top.
She’s a real thick ended female with exceptional rib shape
and depth of side. With all that power and mass she is still
ultra clean smooth and attractive. This is the kind of Whiskey
that will provide one homerun after another when mated
to today’s popular AI Sires. The Monopoly that she carries
should certainly provide a quick return. She has an awesome

is as extended, clean and feminine as you can make

to take you to the BIGTIME. This young cow raised a
Calving Ease Herd bull as a first calf heifer…We see a
tremendous future in this young bull and are using him
heavily. I don’t have to tell anybody about the impact
that Broker has had on the Industry. The number of high
sellers and Champions that Broker has accumulated at a
relatively young is truly admirable. I don’t get away to
Stock Shows much anymore so I had never seen the bull
in person until he won Denver as a two year old. I will
never forget walking in to the coliseum just as they were

I have absolutely loved this Baldy Wide Open daughter
since birth. Wide Open did a great for us. His daughters
are good looking, highly productive females that milk
well, breed back and bring in stout, high quality calves
consistently. They are heavy boned, good structured
cattle with exception hair. 1017 is out of an outstanding
Leachman bred Registered Angus cow. This cow redefines femininity…she is absolutely razor necked, clean
made and flat shouldered. She compliments this with
a perfect outline, more than adequate dimension and
body. Lot 8 is a beautifully balanced, great structured
female that is as hairy of a Simmental as you will find.
This Simmental show heifer thing is on fire, and for
good reason…The cattle are really good! And, you have

This Charolais cow comes from the heart of our Purebred herd.
Her dam is a full sister to KASS Kojack (Madrid sired bull that
is making his mark with his females in production) sired by
HooDoo Slasher, who sires calves like most HooDoo cattle that
are moderate and stout. If you get a chance to analyze this
cow’s bone, muscle, volume and foot size you can see why she
can produce calves that will be in demand in today’s market.
Whether you breed her Charolais or clubby her calves can all
be registered and shown everywhere. She has a yellow cast
to her color and one would think an orange Monopoly steer or
heifer out of her will be very popular. She will not disappoint.

years old. He is absolutely the biggest footed bull I have
ever seen. He will consistently sire sound, productive, good
looking females just like the four in this offering. I need
to have my head checked for including all of these in the
sale. 1086 is out of a no miss Purebred Angus daughter of
Midland. She has had a heifer calf four years in a row out
off DCC Natural Service Herd sires and they are all stand
outs among their peers. I take great pride in the quality
of the DCC Herd bull Battery. I believe that if a bull isn’t
good enough to AI to he isn’t good enough to turn out
either. This particular female is elegant through her front
one third, beautifully balanced, sound as a cat and stout
enough to be mated either way. Help yourself to these
incredible young females.

This is stoutest and softest of the Black Labels on these
facing pages. She is extra big bodied, deep sided and
easy fleshing. Her mother is a Meyer 734 x 6807 that
is an absolute TANK. This is either the third or fourth
big picture female that R087 has sent to the Western
Elite. 1087 has that extra natural shape and muscle
dimension to be a big time steer momma. She is a huge
bodied, big square hipped female that has a great hind
leg. She also is an excellent uddered heavy milking
cow that works hard and stays fleshy all the time.
Couple this with the balance, profile and mobility she
possess and the selection process becomes very clear…

YOUNG, STOUT, GOOD LOOKING, GREAT PEDIGREE…
AND A BALDY. The Doc females have been very good to
DCC what a shame he is gone. We used him with great
success on first calf heifers for several years. He left us
as much added value from our first calvers during that
time as any calving ease sire. They are consistent and
high quality. Although we sold many of them as bred
heifers because we had to for cash flow the few we did
keep just got better with time…THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE. 1097 is one strong topped, big ribbed, thick ended
female that is clean made, correct in her lines and
BALANCED. She is exceptional from a structure stand

boned, big footed female that is square hipped, long necked and good looking. She is
a little bigger in her kind…and that’s a compliment if you are going to use some of the
popular show steer sires of today and try to raise a 1375 lb fat steer that has the right kind
of finish without being a two year old.

This cow is very versatile in the way she can be mated…Club Calf, Maine or Simmental.
Lot 36 - Duello Midland 0501
Lot 37 - Duello Foreman 1035
Here is a real good cow that just got pretty shook up in the picture pen. She is real long
necked, big hipped and good boned. Like the first two cows in the catalog she is safe to

will work…especially on a cow like this.
We weren’t able to get an acceptable picture of this good cow. For now go back and
look at Lots 25 – 27. She is bred and looks just like them and looks just like them…
maybe even stouter. Please check out her video and look her up when you get to

My Kind Daughter
I BEILEVE THIS MAY BE THE BEST INDIVIDUAL I HAVE SOLD IN THE WESTERN ELITE! I am an absolute fan of both sides of this pedigree…And when they click together
the results are amazing. SHE IS FLAWLESS. 4102 Is a beautiful headed, long necked female that is as smooth as glass in the way she blends from her neck and
shoulder back in to her big top and body. She is startlingly clean, fresh and attractive thru her front one third with awesome body and rib shape. This female is
near perfect in her lines…she is long, level and robust in her top, square, smooth and powerful out her rump and has an absolutely ideal underline. Back in my
coaching days I would have given anything to have one around to show the students how one is supposed to be built from a balance and structure stand point…
And she can flat ass travel. I bred her to My Kind because he is sure enough calving ease, with a lot of quality. I trust the bull and I wouldn’t take a chance of
tearing one up that this valuable. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!!!

SELLING ONE HALF INTEREST –
POSSESION AND THE OPTION TO
DOUBLE UP AND OWN HER ALL ARE
PERHAPS THE MOST UNIQUE BREEDING PIECE IN THE
OFFERING! I absolutely love this female. I am not going
to make excuses but the picture doesn’t begin to do this
one justice…She just would not give it to us. But that’s
ok they will find her in Denver…No Doubt. I bought
the IVF Cycle that resulted in the incredible female at
Embryos on Snow 2013. Her mother WB PVF Lucy 1052
had a very decorated show carrier for the Ward Brothers
most notably she was the 2012 Grand Champion Bred
and Owned Female at the National Junior Angus Show.
4114’s mother has done great things in the show ring
and in the Donor Pen. The combination of 1052 with
Broker the hottest, winningest Simmental Show Sires of
recent time couldn’t have worked better. The dominance
of the Broker daughters in the sale ring and the show
ring is unprecedented. She sells Safe to Uno Mas (Sexed

WHISKEY DONOR THAT SELLS AS LOT 1. This red beauty
is truly a one of a kind opportunity. If you are serious
about the show steer business, especially in the south,
study this female closely. She looks good in the photo
but is significantly more impressive in person. This red
female is WIDE, DEEP, THICK, SQUARE, STOUT, SMOOTH,
CLEAN MADE, CORRECT STRUCTURED AND GREAT ON
THE MOVE. I believe she is the most diverse female in
the offering…Just think about all the ways to flush this
female and dominate so many valuable niche markets.
Slick shearing steers that would classify so many different ways, Red Angus Composite steers and heifers, cool
colored, high dollar Charolais Composite bred heifers
and Bulls. The list goes on. And remember her mother

This heifer is bred to be a maternal powerhouse. She is
sired by JF Foundation, a half blood Simmental bull, that
stamps out females the are deep, correct and make awesome cows. Her dam is an old time bred Meyer Daughter
from Christiansen that has left her mark as a consistent
donor for us. She has a great hip, style and depth that
have made her a favorite since birth. A maternal sister
sold in 2015 Western Elite to Oklahoma. She is carrying a

This Solo daughter has had the “Look” since she was
born. Her elegance demands your attention as a donor

that is stamping this consistent pattern in his calves. We
have another maternal sister to 456 to headline next
year’s consignment from us. We target a large part of
our breeding program to raise bred cattle every year for

Back to the Irish Whiskeys with a trio of full sisters to The
$40,000 Cookie. Cookie was an absolutely amazing heifer
calf that I sold to Cory Tompsen and Brian Goettimiller
several years ago. She was shown very successfully by
the Chamberlin’s early and then was sold to the Walker
Family. Her promising show career ended early due to
a fatal reaction to a vaccine. 4116 has been a personal
favorite since she was a baby…I passed up several chances
to price her because I wanted to bring her to Denver as
a bred. She is a brockle faced Whiskey that can best be
described as smooth, feminine and correct. This heifer is
awesome from the profile…beautiful headed, long necked,
Elite Bred Heifers
clean made, flat shouldered and as smooth as you want
one. She is correct in her lines and a well-balanced heifer
that is clean, level, attractive and stout enough. Safe to

exceptional individual. She is the biggest footed Meyer
influenced female I have ever seen. She is a freaky long
necked, massive hipped female that is a favorite of all who
see her, even though she will be ten in the spring. We sold
full sib embryos to Lots 54 – 56 in Embryos on Snow for
several years where they averaged nearly $2,000/each.
The picture tells the whole story here…This heifer is a long
necked, level designed, square hipped, smooth made good
looking bovine. Lot 55 is a deep sided, good structured,
sound moving female that has balance and femininity to
burn. The Trendsetter on board will be the keeping kind…
They are awesome females. Help yourself here.

FULL SISTER TO LOTS 54, 55 and 23. Here comes the
footnote challenge. There isn’t a nickels worth of
difference in these full sisters except that this one just
would not cooperate in the picture pen. If you will notice
where the faint shadows are you will know my story
is true. The only way I could get her to stop with the

Here come a pair of Full Sisters with a lot of power and

These girls are built for the big time. 4106 is tremendously
big topped and thick ended, she has incredible rib shape
and depth of body and is especially good about her flank.
This one is soooo correct on her feet and legs and travels

Most days this baldy is my pick of the pair…but I am
partial to a good black baldy. Of the pair of Full Sisters the
baldy is slightly more extended in her kind. She is a bit
larger framed and more extended up front. Both heifers
are extremely good it will just come down to personal preference. Their mother is an absolutely model cow is bred
back to calve next spring at 13 years of age. 31475 has
always been mated maternal and worked especially good
to Wide Open. We flushed her one time to Monopoly with
great results…That mating resulted in Lots 66, 67 and 102.
You can’t go wrong here. The My Kind calves certainly
come easy, have a lot of vigor and quality. CA and Colby
Collins two of the best cowmen I know bred this great bull
and use him extensively. If I might borrow a quote from

We are in the back one third of the catalog and the quality just keeps coming. Poison
Arrow has been good to Duello Cattle Company and many others who used him. His

and feminine designed, with a lot of body and a long level hip. She compliments that with
balance and structural quality.
We really like the No Remorse cattle. This heifer refused to set her hind legs correct but
you can see what she is…moderate, stout correct and complete. She is an especially big
bodied, bold sprung, deep sided female that is soft and powerful. She is very good on her

Elite Bred Heifers
Females like this will be noticed with the offspring they produce. In today’s world with
structure and the ability to stay sound, starting with a basic cow can bring back some of
those freakier genetics to be real competitive. She will give you lots of breeding options in
the years to come.
These Meyer granddaughters are sired by flush mate brothers that have produced quality
females year after year. Brood cow in the making here. Her Simmental based genetics
will only gain you value once she enters production.

This girl is the kind that is so deep bellied, big sided, easy keeping that it takes away of
her profile, but this is also what she will add to a program. Her dam is an exceptional Midland granddaughter that is exceptional in her look, milk production, and cow. We cannot
say enough about our Foundation females and have a great deal of confidence in them.

Elite Bred Heifers
Here is a powerhouse Monopoly out of the great 7522 Alias Donor cow at DCC. That
makes her a Full Sib to DCC Night Train and a $14,000 Featured Lot in the 2015 Western
Elite. 4112 is huge boned and extremely stout…She is one of the biggest topped, squarest
hipped females in the sale. If nothing else buy the heifer to have a daughter of 7522 and
you thank me for years to come.
This mating has produced multiple high sellers and champions at Bellars. In fact I think
Jeff told me a full sib steer was third or fourth last fall in Louisville. She is some kind
of stout and hairy, with quality galore. 4203 is really good footed and a big legged
female that is clean jointed, flexible and freewheeling. I admire the squareness of rump,
dimension of top and natural rib shape of this female. The Baldy Low Birthweight Bull she
is bred to is Very Impressive.

Her mother is an absolute tank. The Blue Blood daughters are great females…They are
consistently big bodied, easy fleshing, stout built, good looking cows that always seem to
work to Monopoly. Just like this one. I would say you put an I 80 neck on this heifer’s body
and stoutness the first turn will pay for her.
