Dichroic Glass Colors
Glass Frames
Specifically designed to meet the demands of the lighting
industry, LEE Filters dichroic glass filters are produced by the
vacuum deposition of thin layers of metal films onto a substrate
of borofloat glass. The glass is available in a thickness of
3.3mm and the production process creates spectacularly clear
and pure colors. The glass filters will not fade, as the dichroic
coating can withstand temperatures up to 700 degrees F.
These lightweight aluminum frames, suit the popular lighting
fixtures in the entertainment and theatrical industries.
An innovative silicone gasket completely surrounds the glass,
providing protection from both mechanical and
thermal shock. A safety mesh can be added where required.
Professional Colors
Chosen after extensive research among design
professionals, the Glass Series color palette provides a range
of 50 consistent, repeatable colors. This includes subtle, less
saturated tones suitable for architectural use. Building on
their expertise in film and theatrical lighting, LEE has closely
matched the glass series on a polyester base filter material to
provide a convenient swatch book. Lighting professionals can
use this book to test color schemes or demonstrate the effects
of different filters.
The swatch book is available upon request.

Dichroic Polycarbonate
Specialized Dichroic Filters
Color correct your LED light source using the new dichroic coated
polycarbonate filter. With a thickness of 0.03”, the polycarbonate
will easily fit within a small LED fixture. This filter has a dichroic
coating on one side providing the optimal color correction solution
for permanent applications.
Dichroic filters developed specifically for use in permanent
applications for either high heat or energy efficient light sources.
Series includes color correcting filters, as well as wavelength
control filters such as UV, IR and AR filters.
General Information:
Stocked in 1.965” diameter (custom size & shapes available
up to 11” square – upon request).

Wavelength Control Filters
Unfrosted Glass
UV Blocker
Reduces photochemical degradation and allows the increase of
light levels without risking damage to display objects. Coated on a
3.3mm thick Borofloat substrate for high heat resistance, this filter
blocks UV rays below 390nm.
IR (infrared) Filters
Blocks the heat generating IR component (wavelength above
750nm) while simultaneously transmitting the required visible light
with minimal light loss.
This precise diffusion technique creates a
frost very similar to LEE 251 Quarter White
Diffusion, when the frosted side is placed
on the fixture outwards, away from the
lamp. Our dichroic coating has a maximum
operating temperature of 700 degrees F,
allowing the color to last for years
without fading.
AR (anti reflective) Filters
Designed for telecommunication applications providing a low
level of reflectance.
