Our response
We would like some green areas in St
Mary’s to sit and unwind and eat our
lunch.
Also concerned about the parking.
Can we have some green space for staff
to use and sit for lunch?
Car parking essential for community
staff.

There are some gardens close to B block
that can be used for a small seating area.
Additional parking capacity is planned for
St Mary’s via a decked park close to the
DSC building.
Looking at St Mary’s site – it looks like a
concrete jungle. Some green areas to be
able to clear head after a stressy
day/morning. Very important for staff
morale.
Parking - please be aware that staff will
be coming and going from visits
frequently and ‘looking for parking’ will
impact on productivity.

Seems quite a good plan BUT it does not
affect me. Listening to other people’s
comments a bit of not in my back yard is
involved, but they have a point of where
will the children go to school, and the
traffic flow at peak periods.
My concern is parking at St Mary’s but I
was told by a gentleman that a multistorey car park is likely to be built.
How did you hear about today’s event?
Read it in the Portsmouth News.
I feel that your new proposal is an
overdevelopment of the site and that
you should revert to the previous
proposals.
The planning application for new homes
on the St James’ site will be supported by
a transport assessment. The Council will
need to consider the infrastructure
(including schools) required to support
the proposed new homes when it
determines the planning application.
Additional parking capacity is planned for
St Mary’s via a decked park close to the
DSC building.
We have not previously presented
proposals for the development of the
phase 1 land at the St James’ Hospital
site.
