Inspire Federal Credit Union Announces 2017
Teacher of the Year Winner

TeacheroftheYearcontestattheir81stAnnual
MembershipMeetingonThursday,April20.The
threefinalists,whowereannouncedearlierthis
month,wereinvitedtotheCreditUnion’sannual
meetingtoberecognizedbycreditunionstaffand
members.
MattFash,an8thgradeteacheratLenapeMiddle
School,wasnamedthe2017BucksCounty
TeacheroftheYear.Fashwasawardeda$2,500
prize,aswellas$500forhisschool.

JimMerrill,PresidentandCEOatInspire,alongwithChichiAhia,BoardChairmanandPrincipalatSperryVan
NessCommercialReality,acontestsponsor,awardedtheprizetoMattFashatthemeeting.The
announcementwasbroadcastedliveontheCreditUnion’sFacebookpage.
JimMerrillcommentedthat,“Alloftheteacherswhowerenominatedareworthyofthisawardandallthree
finalistsareleavingherewinnersthisevening.”Merrillcontinued,saying,“Thiscontestofferstheopportunity
toshowcaseteachersandallofthehardworktheyputintowhattheydo.Itwasanhonormeetthethree
finalistandrecognizethemthisevening.”
ThetworunnersupwereDanaDiJosephfromBelmontHillsElementary,andMichaelZweigfromPineRun
Elementary.Bothrunnersupwereawardeda$1,000prizeandtheirschoolseachreceived$500.
