Development of the East Lothian Health
& Social Care Partnership Engagement
Strategy
The Integration Joint Board (IJB) of East Lothian
Health and Social Care Partnership (ELHSCP) is
committed to improving outcomes for our population
and for the communities in which people live. Our
Strategic Plan describes this commitment and
recognises that central to achieving our vision is the
involvement of the different perspectives, skills,
knowledge and resources of a broad range of people
involved both in health and social care services and in
our communities. Our Strategic Plan values the
richness and breadth of involvement and articulates a
clear aim to build collaborative, meaningful
partnerships between all key stakeholders.
Key to this work is the development of a robust
engagement strategy. I am sending you a link to the
draft East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership
engagement strategy and I hope you will be able to
provide me with feedback by filling in the associated
mapping questionnaire. You may also send individual
responses by email to me but we really hope that as
many of you as possible will fill out as much of the
questionnaire as possible so that we can map
engagement networks that we can tap into (with
your permission).
The closing date is 7 April 2017. We would very much
like to be able to present an updated strategy,
reflecting the information that you have given us, to
the next meeting of the East Lothian Integration Joint
Board at the end of April.

Dear All
Our Community Council has arranged to host a
Hustings in Humbie Kirk on 12th April which I am sure
will be of interest to all AP members and the groups
you represent.
All 7 candidates currently declared have agreed to
participate. Should additional candidates be
nominated they will be invited to participate.
The Hustings is of course open to all from across the
new Haddington & Lammermuir ward and not just
those in our CC area. Details have already been
passed to all Community Councils in the ward.
We have set up an Eventbrite page which contains
more information about the Hustings and we would
ask anyone planning to attend to register using that
site. This will greatly assist our event management on
the night.
Many thanks.
