retirement. That’s because your pension income is not tax free. After claiming basic exemptions, retirees
pay income tax on the income they receive from all sources. Canada Pension Plan, O.A.S., pensions and
their Registered Retirement Investment Fund. They also pay tax on the growth of their non-registered

successful ways you can decrease the amount of tax you pay, so you keep more of your income. Some of

splitting opportunities. The seminar is aimed at individuals who wish to pay less tax in retirement. By the
end of the seminar you’ll be able to review your own situation with fresh insight, and be able to

Reiki
Reiki is the name given to an ancient Tibetan healing art that was discovered by Dr. Usui in 19th century
Japan. Dr. Usui found that Reiki offered immense benefits in healing at the physical, emotional, mental
and spiritual levels. Reiki is an ancient hands- on healing technique than channels universal life energy
through the hands of a Reiki practitioner to the body of a receiver. When a person’s Ki is low, one will
feel weak and is more likely to get sick. Reiki is one of the few forms of holistic healing that can be used
to heal oneself. Reiki does not interfere with traditional medicine, but rather facilitates its benefits. Reiki
speeds the healing process and provides a source of restoring energy while one is ill, under medical
treatment or in need of a pick me up. Reiki treatment is non-invasive. Seminar will be held on Friday
February 21st at 10:00am until 12noon. Cost for members is $1.80 and non-members is $3.60. Your
