Coded Periodic Table Exercise The code letters A to Z have been assigned to the first 36 elements in the periodic table, with the exception of the 3d elements which have been taken out (note the jump in the periodic table below). Element G is a halogen. Element R is a noble gas. It is easier to take an electron away from atoms of element B than atoms of either element M or element U. IN the family EQZ, atoms of element Q have the smallest atomic radii. The electrons of element T are distribute over three energy levels. Atoms of element H have two protons. The electron dot symbol for element C is Element J has the smallest ionization energy in its family. Atoms of element Z have three more electrons than atoms of element M. The atomic radius of T is smaller than that of P but larger than that of G. Element Y is in the same period as element Z. A is the most reactive metal in its period. Atoms of element X have 32 protons. Atoms of element K have the smallest number of electrons in the entire periodic table. W is the most reactive metal in its family. N is the second most electronegative element in its period, but the most electronegative element in its family. The electrons of O are distributes over 4 energy levels. Element L is in the same period as element R. Atoms of element I form larger ions than atoms of element A. In the family COV, atoms of element V have the smallest atomic mass.
