Senior Activities Calendar
April 7
Senior packets due.
April 27
Senior Cap & Gown distribution at 7:30am in Dugger Gym followed by the senior panoramic photo. Individual
cap & gown photos will be taken starting at 7:30am and also at lunch the same day. See order form in senior
packet. There are NO make-ups for this photo!
Prom at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club 8:00-11:00pm. Tickets are purchased in advance in the Activities Office.
Early discount pricing available: May 1-5: $60 w/ ASB and $70 wo/ ASB. May 8-12: $65 w/ ASB and $75 wo/ ASB, May

June 11
Candle Rose Mandatory Meeting in the library at 2:40pm This meeting is mandatory to participate.
Graduation tickets will be available for pickup in the activities office beginning this date. Each senior must sign
for his/her packet of tickets and have all required forms turned in to be eligible to pick up their 9 tickets.
Honors Convocation at 7:00pm in the Artists’ Theater. This is the evening local scholarships are announced
for those who applied in March. Caps and gowns are required.
Baccalaureate 4:00pm Location: Laguna Presbyterian Church
June 15
Candle Rose Rehearsal in Artists’ Theatre at 2:45pm. This practice is mandatory.
June 16
Candle Rose at 6:30pm in the Artists’ Theatre. Seniors will say goodbye by performing something meaningful
to the Senior Class. There is no charge for this event. Please be seated by 6:15pm.
June 15-16
Senior Finals and Check-out: Checkout cards will be handed out in the English classes. Seniors must have
teachers sign the check-out card as well as clear demerits, community service and remaining financial
obligations (i.e. library fines, textbooks, uniforms, etc). The check-out process must be completed with the
Guidance Office in order to participate in the senior trip and the graduation ceremony.
June 19
Seniors Check-Out Completion: Seniors must complete the check-out process by noon to participate in the
pool party and all Senior activities including the graduation ceremony.
Mandatory Scholarship Workshop: 11:30am – 12:15pm All Seniors receiving scholarships must attend this
workshop.
Senior Pool Party: 12:30 – 2:30pm at the L.B.H.S. pool with food and music. The Grad Night
2017 Committee is the sponsoring organization for this event.
June 20
Senior Trip to Knott’s Berry Farm 9:00am – 4:00pm Students must complete a permission form and purchase
tickets in advance. Students check in at 9:00am on Short Street. Buses leave at 9:15am and depart from
Knott’s at 3:00pm for the return trip. Students may not bring open drinks or food on to the bus. No items
can be left on the bus; carry-on bags will be checked prior to boarding the bus and at the entrance to the park by
Knott’s Security. No cars may be driven. Students must leave and return on the bus and may not be picked up.
Students must complete the checkout process with their counselors by noon on June 19, 2017 to attend the
senior trip.
June 22
Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal: 9:00am meet at the high school football bleachers to take the bus to the
Festival of the Arts for rehearsal. No return transportation is provided.
Graduation Ceremony: 6:30pm Seniors meet at the high school football bleachers for Grad Night check-in, lei
distribution and bus transportation to the Festival of Arts (all students are required to take the bus). No carry-on
articles allowed. Buses will not return. Parents and guests should be seated in the Festival of Arts by 7:30pm
so that the procession may begin promptly at 8:00pm.
June 9
All Night Grad Party: The Grad Night 2017 Committee is the sponsoring organization for this event. Students will board the
buses for the Grad Party at the Festival Grounds directly after the graduation ceremony. Parents may bring
casual clothing for students to change into after the ceremony prior to boarding the bus to the party. Reminder:
All students who are attending the Grad Party must sign the STUDENT BEHAVIOR CONTRACT and will be
held accountable. In the interest of student safety, please be aware that there will be independent security
personnel present at LBHS and the Festival Grounds to search each person and their belongings prior to
boarding the bus to the Graduation Ceremony and the bus to the All Night Grad Party.
