Nosotros commands: Suggesting activities
In Spanish, you can use a nosotros command
to make suggestions to your friends.
In English, it's the idea of "let's (do something)"
(you're including
yourself in the activity!)
Observen:
Comamos una pizza
Let's eat a pizza
Escribamos unas cartas.
Let's write letters.
Cerremos la ventana
Nosotros commands with reflexive verbs
For reflexive verbs,
Follow the 4 step pattern to create a nosotros command.
But drop the final "s" before adding the pronoun "nos."
1) Go to the "yo" form of the verb.
2) Drop "o"
3) Add the opposite vowel
4) Then add "mos"
salir -> salgo -> salgamos
ejemplos:
let's dance
let's go out
aprender -> aprendo -> aprendamos
1) sentarse (to sit down)
Let's sit down -> sentemos (nos) -> sentémonos
2) lavarse (to wash)
Let's wash our hands -> lavémos (nos) -> lavémonos
