New 2011 Rules in Place: A player’s back nine score is the initial
tiebreaker utilized for Individual Scoring Rank, for first, and second
place finishes. In all other Individual Stroke Play Finishes, besides
first and second place finishes, tie scores will remain ties, and tie
breaker procedures will not apply. For example if the 9th to 12th
place scores are the same as the 10th place finish, these scores will all
generate Top Finish Points because stroke play ties will remain ties.
