1. The distanceof the main unitor remoteunitshouldbe at least3-4 feet awayfrom any
interferingsourcessuch as computermonitorsor TV sets.
2. Avoidplacingthe mainunitontoor in the immediateproximityof metalwindowframes.
3. Usingotherelectricalproductssuchas headphones
or speakersoperatingon the same
signalfrequency(433MHz ) may preventcorrectsignaltransmission
and receptron.
4. Neighborsusingelectricaldevicesoperatingon the 433MHzsignalfrequencycan also
causeinterference.
Note:When the 433MHzsignal is receivedconectly,do not re-openthe batterycover of either
the remoteunit or the main unit, as the batteriesmay springfree from the contactsand force a
false reset.Shouldthis happenaccidentallythen reset both units.Othenvisetransmission
problemsmay occur.
The maximumtransmission
rangeis 100 feet fromthe remoteunitto the main unit ( in open
space). However,thisdependson the surrounding

levels.The
temperature
signaltravelsin a straightlinefromthe remoteunitto the clock. The signalwill
not curvearounda blockingobject.lf no receptionis possible, despitethe observation
of
thesefactors,all unitswill haveto be reset.
w
Interference
Signalsfrom other householddevices, such as entry controls, door bellsand home security
systems, may temporarilyinterferewith the units and cause receptionfailure. This is normal
and does not affectthe generalperformanceof the product. The transmissionand reception
of temperaturereadingwill resumeonce the interferencehas stopped.
