Gymnastics was highly regarded by the Greek because they believed it was for the
development of the body. Music was also highly regarded by the Greeks because
it’s the “food of the spirit”.
In ancient Greece, it was the responsibility of the state to educate every child. The
contents and objectives of the Greek’s education included activities and exercises
that were aimed at developing qualities such as strength, agility, bravery, and
courage required to every soldiers.
