relationship. Talented presenters not only carry a group or audience but positively influence them.
This advanced presentation skills workshop gives you a platform to demonstrate your leadership qualities,
communication skills, sales ability, influence and promotion potential. It provides you the skills and techniques that
will enable you to perform at an advanced level. We will be giving action points to sharpen your image; maximise
your message and increase your credibility in the eyes of colleagues and clients.

This one-day workshop is for people who have considerable experience as presenters, and may well have been
presenting for many years and for those who would like to 'freshen up' their presenting style.

Curriculum
• Creating the Context and Establishing Course Objectives
• Participants will be introduced to:
• Course Content
• Course Objectives
• Presentation Benchmark
• Developing Content
• Learn a simple format, to plan, prepare and customize content to meet the objectives of both the audience and
the presenter:
• Focus on positioning key issues to relevant parties
• Plan and prepare information to take into consideration the message of the presenter and the needs of the
audience
• Sell the message with FAB statements (Features, Advantages and Benefits)
• Persuasive Delivery
• The focus will be on building and projecting self-confidence by acquiring the techniques of how to look and
sound persuasive while presenting. Topics will focus on:
• Visual components of body language, posture, gestures and facial expressions
• Appropriate dressing for presentations
• Vocal Components of voice that include tone, volume, pitch, speed, emphasis and enunciation.
• The alignment of the 3 V’s and the ability to move with the dynamics of the audience
• Role-Play Review
• We will review the morning benchmark of each group where each participant will be able to review the
performance using the checklist that will focus on:
• Content
• Delivery
• The Use of Presentation Aids (Appendix)
• We will review how to successfully use various presentation aids including:
• Powerpoint
• Developing your own successful presentation style
• The realisation that presentation aids does not replace the role of the presenter
• Individual Presentations
• The participants will break into 3 groups of 4 participants or 4 groups of 4 participants.
• Each participant will have the opportunity to present and experience the following:
• 10 minute prepared presentation, with slides
• Q & A from the audience
• Immediate feedback and review using the prepared checklist
• Reflection and action plan to learning journal
• Handling Questions
• The discussion will focus on how to handle questions effectively and confidently. We will use examples from
the earlier presentations. Participants will acquire specialized techniques to confidently manage questions,
maintain credibility and answer the questions with conviction.
• Conclusion and Evaluation
• The trainer will summarise and conclude the programme.
