Starfish Weekly Newsletter Friday 31st March 2017 Dear Parents/Carers, HOME LEARNING We have had a lovely week in the Starfish this week. What does Spring look like? An Easter Holiday project for you! For our beautiful wall display, can you make a Spring themed piece of artwork? I’ve included some ideas below The children have enjoyed creating some beautiful Easter artwork using sequins, pom-poms and googly eyes! We have also made wet chalk pictures, which make a lovely effect. In the water tray, we have been investigating water beads. We are amazed at how they start so small and can grow into bouncing beads! Wow! We have been so excited to try out the brand new climbing frame on the KS1 playground! We are developing our climbing skills on the climbing wall and becoming more daring on the wibbly wobbly bridge! Well done superstars! Our sound of the week this week is ‘t’. When we form the sound ‘t’, we say ‘down the tower, across the tower!’ We have enjoyed saying the sound ‘t’ and thinking of words that start with ‘t’, such as train, tree, turtle and tap – what words can you think of? We had some stunning entries in our Easter bonnet competition and the children loved showing off their creations – thank you for all your support with this. Best wishes, Miss Sewell I can’t wait to see your creations! Attendance Thank you for your continued support with sending your children into Nursery for all their sessions. Our star of the week this week is Anastasios. What a fantastic week he has had! Anastasios has become extra confident and now loves being our class Special Helper. He is also becoming a tidying up superstar! Well done Anastasios! Have a fantastic Easter break and I look forward to seeing you all after the holidays!
