Osceola was a Seminole warrior who wanted the fighting to stop, so he decided to talk to the US for a truce.

Osceola brought a white flag as a sign of peace, however the US ignored it and captured him. He died of malaria
in prison.

US government destroyed Bowlegs banana fields even though they were just supposed to inspect his land. This
caused the 3rd Seminole War.
Bowlegs and his fighters eventually surrendered. However, no one completely won the war.

It changed the Seminole culture because after each war they had to move to new lands. The moves made them
change their homes and food based on where they lived.
It also caused many to leave Florida
