Directions to Timberlane Recreation Camp It is approximately 111 miles from the Taylorsville area to the camp. Generally for all Wasatch front Stakes, proceed South on I-15 to Exit 258 at Spanish Fork. This exit puts you on U.S. 6 and SR 114 going east toward Price. This road would also take you to Manti via U.S 89. Proceed East on U.S. 6. After passing over Soldier Summit and at approx. 4.2 miles south of the Scofield Reservoir turnoff (SR 96) and just pass mile marker 221 is a left hand turnoff from U.S. 6 labeled "Emma Park Road". Take this cutoff road. It will cross the Price River and the rail road tracks. This cutoff is a paved county road and is generally in good condition. It will save you about 15 minutes rather than going down to the Castle Gate junction North of Helper. Either way you will come to U.S. 191 which is the main road from Price to Duchesne. From the junction of the Emma Park Road at U.S. 191, proceed north for approx. 6.3 miles which puts you at the summit. This is a fairly steep climb up to the summit so if you are pulling a trailer or other recreational equipment, be sure you are prepared for the climb. At the summit you will see a dirt road take off to the right and up the mountain. There is a sign labeled "Camp Timberlane.” Turn here. If you go past the "Ashley National Forest" sign and go over the summit, you missed the turn-off. Proceed East on this dirt road going down Argyle Canyon for approx. 1.5 miles to where you see a Camp Timberlane sign pointing to the South or right. Turn here and follow the road for another 1.7 miles to arrive at the camp. This road is quite narrow and steep in places but all type vehicles can get through.
