SKILLS:
 Identify the letter “r” and listen for words that begin with /r/
 Reading and writing words with the short vowel sounds.
 Sorting picture cards according to their ending sound
 Writing in our journals and writing a class book about our field trip.

MATH
SKILLS and ACTIVITIES:
 This week, we will explore measuring! We will
measure with our body and different measuring
tools. We will also read a story called “How Big is
A Foot?”
 Games: Save the Bears! (works on tens and ones)

GOLDFISH, GUPPIES AND GROUNDHOGS
This week, we will continue learning about fish! We will observe a new
kind of fish (guppies), and then we will compare and contrast goldfish
and guppies. We will also complete our fish circle map and write a book
of fish facts! On Friday, we will read a book about Groundhog’s day and
make cute groundhog pop-ups.
