Art is essential, and you want to create it. Find your path into professional studio art or graphic design
with a bachelor’s degree in art at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Develop your understanding of
various art forms and movements, and discover your signature style or technique. Your vision could

What You’ll Study
Gain solid grounding in the fundamentals of color, art history, photography, and other core courses in our
art major. Then focus your work with the graphic design or studio art concentration. You’ll also sample
courses in the performing arts and humanities and attain foreign language competency for a well-rounded
cultural arts education.

Our on-campus studios (printmaking, graphic design, and pottery), gallery, and museum-quality
installations and traveling exhibitions let you connect with visual art every day. As an art major at NSU,
you’re a free member of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, where you can visit the latest international

The Bachelor of Arts degree requires at least 24 credits of coursework
from the following disciplines: ARTS, DANC, FILM, HIST, HUMN,
LITR, MUSC, PHIL, and THEA, as well as an intermediate degree of
competency in a foreign language generally, a minimum of 6 credits or
another demonstration of competency.
