Good people are the foundation of our company. Weekes Construction, Inc. November, 2003 David L. Weekes President Born in 1943. B. S. in Advertising, University of Florida. Has been involved in construction since 1964. Started as a liaison between management and construction, building large apartment complexes. Started own business in 1969 and proceeded to build four large apartment projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Acted as developer, contractor, etc. on these projects. Since that time, has been involved in all types “light construction”, principally in mall and commercial work. David is married to Pam who is an excellent tennis player and very strong cyclist. They have three grown children. They like loud music, good books, and participate in many outdoor sports. Tom George Vice President Senior Project Manager Born in 1960. Attended Devry Technical Institute. Has been in construction since 1984. Has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1985. Has worked in the cabinet shop, on sites, and is now a Senior Project Manager. In 2002 he became Vice President of construction. Tom has two children, Christina and Houston and a brand new grandson born in October of 2003. They split their free time between Fripp Island on the Coast of South Carolina and the mountains of North Carolina. They enjoy hiking, fishing, snow skiing, sailing, and kayaking. Weekes Construction, Inc. Chandler Weekes Director of Marketing Born 1967. Chandler spent six years as a salesman in the packaging industry. He then spent five more years as a professional bicycle racer. Chandler has been with Weekes Construction since 1998. He has spent time as a field superintendent and was a project manager for four years. In 2002 he assumed duties as director of marketing. Chandler is married and the proud father of a new baby boy born in October 2003. Andy Roberson Project Manager Born in 1964. A.S. in Architectural Engineering Technology from Midlands Technical College, Columbia, South Carolina. Since college, Andy has worked as an estimator, superintendent, and Project Manager in the construction industry. Andy has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1996. Andy is married to Pam, they have three daughters. Andy moved to Greenville to be near the mountains because he is an avid rock climber. He also is a mountain biker and enjoys about anything else you can do in the woods. Weekes Construction, Inc. Hunter Weekes Project Manager Born 1969. Hunter attended Tulane University and then spent five years in St. Thomas working for Charter Sailboat and Trawlers Co. Hunter has been with Weekes since 1998. Hunter spent three years as a field superintendent and one year as an assistant project manager to Tom and Andy. In 2002 he assumed the responsibility of Project Manager. Weekes Construction, Inc. Kay Holcombe Accounting Kay is in charge of all accounting functions. She has been with Weekes since 1983. Kay is married to Larry who is the Deputy Director of the Greenville/Spartanburg International Airport. They have one son and two grandsons. Kay spends her free time doing arts and crafts. Kay follows the Carolina Panthers but her big thing is the Atlanta Braves. Chop Chop. Susan Mansfield Accounting Susan joined the Weekes clan in 1998. She handles accounts Payable and is Kay’s girl Friday. Susan is married to Ricky who works for his family’s business, Barker Controls, Inc. Susan and Ricky have a daughter, Lindsey, and a son, Blake. She enjoys scrapbooking. Weekes Construction, Inc. Jeanne Byers Administrative Assistant Jeanne takes care of the paperwork for Andy and Tom. She has been with Weekes since 1991. Jeanne is married to Dale, who is in the chemical business. Dale and one of his associates invented the process to make the specks in Ice Breakers gum. They have one daughter, two sons and one grandson. Tonya Cook Administrative Assistant Tonya handles the myriad of paperwork that follows Chandler and Hunter around. She also handles many projects for David. Tonya started with Weekes in 1997. Tonya is married to Jamie who works for Honeywell. Tonya and Jamie have two daughters, McKenzie and Kylie. Tonya has managed to juggle many things in her life. Along with working full time, her family, building a new house and being pregnant, Tonya managed to finish a degree in business from Furman University. Tonya and Jamie are big Nascar fans (#6) and spend most of their spare time at the track or camping. Weekes Construction, Inc. Sheryl White Bid Department Sheryl is the life blood of the bid department which is the life blood of the company. She spends her day faxing and phoning subs and sending plans. During a typical year Sheryl distributes about a 1/4 million sf of blueprints and contacts roughly 30,000 subcontractors with the help of an assistant. Sheryl has been with Weekes since 1990. Sheryl is married to Michael who is in the food distribution business. They have one son, Tyler. Sheryl enjoys reading, crafts and scrapbooking. Jan Chappell Accounting Jan joined Weekes in early 2003. She helps Susan with accounts payable. She also handles sub-contractors Workman’s comp. insurance, payroll, purchase orders and expense reports. Jan is a mother of two boys, Dylan and Austyn, who are very involved in Little League Baseball and basketball. She also enjoys scrapbooking. Weekes Construction, Inc. Brian Browning Superintendent Born 1950. Brian is from Port Huron, Michigan. He has a background in store fixturing. Brian came with Weekes in 2000 and has completed several stores, including a difficult Talbots Woman store. Brian is an excellent carpenter and brings a “can do” attitude to his jobs. Jim Collins Superintendent Born in 1954. Lives in Waco, Texas. Jim likes to do his own drywall and carpentry. He is capable of doing all phases of construction. Jim has built a lot of Limited stores for us. In his time off he enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor sports. He has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1989. Wayne Danielak Superintendent Born in 1964. Lives in Baltimore, Maryland. Wayne runs his own commercial subcontracting company. Wayne has built Kay Bee Toys and FootAction stores for us. In his time off he enjoys hunting, snow skiing, and his Harley Davidson. Has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1995. Weekes Construction, Inc. Vince Fleischman Superintendent Born in 1961. Vince has been a retail superintendent since 1989. Vince is capable of doing carpentry, drywall, and concrete work. Vince came to work with Weekes in 2003. Eddie Harper Superintendent Born in 1944. Eddie has been a retail superintendent for the last 19 of his 31 years in construction. He has overseen the construction of Bath & Body Works, Books A Million, GNC, Gordon’s Jewelers, Heilig Meyers, Limited, Limited Express, Office Max, Record Bar, Time Out and Victoria’s Secret stores during that time. He is knowledgeable, easy to work with and loves to hunt. Eddie finally came on board with Weekes in early 1997. Woodrow “Cricket” Nalley Superintendent Born in 1957. Cricket lives in Townville, South Carolina. He has been a construction superintendent about 10 years. Cricket is capable of doing his own drywall and carpentry work. In his time off he enjoys boating, fishing and hunting. Cricket has been employed with Weekes Construction since 2003. Weekes Construction, Inc. Mel Phillips Superintendent Born in 1953. Mel has been a superintendent in construction for 13 years. He is capable of doing drywall and carpentry work. In his time off he enjoys hunting and fishing. Mel has been with Weekes since 2003. Paul Sweatt Superintendent Born in 1943. Paul lives in Bremen, Georgia. He likes to do his own drywall and carpentry work. He does a lot of Limited’s work for us. In his time off he enjoys collecting antiques and diecast model cars. Paul has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1989. Weekes Construction, Inc. Dennis Woodin Superintendent Born in 1955. Lives in New Bern, North Carolina. Dennis has 23 years of construction experience, mainly in the retail sector. He has built many FootAction’s, Linens ‘n Things, Kay Bee Toys and Radio Shack stores. In his time off he enjoys NASCAR and the stock market. He has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1994. Tom Zelina Superintendent Born in 1957. Lives in Greenville, South Carolina. Tom has 25 years experience in the construction industry. He has built Warner Bros., all types of Limited stores, Linens ‘n Things and many others, including schools and motels. Tom is a hands-on superintendent and can do all phases of construction. He enjoys spending time with his four boys and playing golf. Tom has been employed with Weekes Construction since 1994.
