We have spent a lot of time developing the vocabulary same and different. You can continue this at home. When sorting laundry have your child help, have them verbalize how they sorted the clothes (size, colour, type of clothing). Also when you are in a parking lot talk with your child about what makes the vehicles’ the same (car, truck, colour) and different (colour, car, truck). Challenge them to find different ways to sort objects at home, making sure you have them declare a sorting rule. We have discussed the letter sound, words that begin with these letters and looked for the lowercase letter as well. Please remember that letters are always started at the top.
