Adventure Day Cowboys, Cadets, and Shopping 07:15 – Meet at Broadmoor South where we will depart for a fun filled day, beginning with breakfast. After breakfast we depart for the worlds only Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame and Museum. Only in Colorado Springs will you find a heritage center devoted to professional rodeo. After viewing a history film, you will explore the Heritage Hall displaying both historic and modern cowboy gear and clothing. With 5 exhibits to browse, the experience at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy gives attention to educating the visitor regarding the sport’s historical beginning and offers an explanation of what the cowboy contestants must experience to become champions. From the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame we depart for the acclaimed United States Air Force Academy for a private tour of the Visitor Center and Cadet Chapel. The US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs is among the most selective colleges in the United States. Candidates are judged based on their academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, athletics and character. To gain admission, candidates must also pass a fitness test, undergo a thorough medical examination and secure a nomination, which usually comes from one of the candidate's members of Congress. Recent incoming classes have usually consisted of about 1,400 cadets; just under 1,000 of those usually make it through to graduation. Cadets pay no tuition, but are committed to serve a number of years in the military service after graduation. The US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs is perhaps best known for its stunning chapel. Soaring 150 feet toward the Colorado sky, the Air Force Academy Chapel is an all-faiths house of worship designed to meet the spiritual needs of cadets. It contains a separate chapel for four major religious faiths — Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and Buddhist — plus an all-faiths room used by Muslim cadets and available for members of the other faiths as well. Each chapel has its own entrance, and services may be held simultaneously without interfering with one another. After the tour of the Air Force Academy we leave for shopping at the Outlets at Castle Rock where you can shop, save and have lunch too. With more than 100 stores and counting, Outlets at Castle Rock is the largest outlet center in Colorado. The center offers a distinctive shopping experience at some of the best known brand names, such as Michael Kors, H&M, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Coach Factory Store, Columbia Outlet, Gap Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Levi's Outlet, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Mountain Hardware and more. Enjoy your “Red Carpet” welcome, gift bags, Savings Card and coupons for lunch in their food court. At 3:15pm we’ll have to gather to depart for Colorado Springs. We have to get those operators back to The Broadmoor to depart for their post-FAM trip.
