FOR Thank you for registering for the KidSport Fun & Fitness Corporate Challenge ! We’re here to help make your team’s fundraising goal a success. Check out some of the creative and easy fundraising ideas that put the “fun” back in fundraising! Simple, but effective, ideas! Host a Bake Sale at work: Grab some helpers to help you out, make some goodies and appeal to your co-workers’ sweet side! Host a Penny Drive: Pennies are on their way out the door, so why not collect your pennies and loose change for a good cause! Don’t forget to cash your pennies in before turning in your pledges! Jelly Bean Guess: A fun and easy way to engage your co-workers, family and friends! Charge a fee to guess and the closest guess wins the jar of jelly beans! Coffee and a muffin/donut: Grab some coffee and donuts or muffins from the local Tim Horton’s and sell them at your workplace. Jeans Day at Work: Charge a fee to wear jeans at work. Be sure to check with your employers to ensure their support. KidSport can provide stickers to help bring awareness for your campaign. 50/50 Draw: Who doesn’t like to win money? Include a 50/50 draw with one of your other fundraisers, or use as a stand-alone. Tickets can be purchased at the Dollar Store to be used for the draw. Sell your way to some easy fundraising cash! Bail Me Out: Handcuff willing participants and let them go free when they raise “bail” money. Sticky-Fly: Sell pieces of duct tape for donors to stick your group’s leader or volunteers to a wall. Popcorn Fridays: Make and sell popcorn during breaks at work, or buy bags of Boom Chicka Pop @ Costco and transfer into smaller bags to sell. (delicious and healthy). Sno-Cones: On hot days during breaks, sell sno-cones or ice cream for a cool refreshing treat, that will help with your fundraising. Hold a Car Wash: Get volunteers to help advertise and promote, and help wash the cars, with proceeds going toward the cause. Go Hairless: Volunteers commit to having their heads/faces shaved if a specific amount of money is raised Have you checked out Boomers yet? Get your co-workers out for a day of fun & set up a fundraiser around it. You can include 50/50 and sell great treats!! Let us know and we can get the word out!!! Change jar: Have a contest to see what area at work can collect the most change in their jars. Have family throw all their change into a jar for a couple weeks. Yard Sale: Have co-workers, and family donate gently used items for you to sell for your fundraiser. Auction: You could have fun with this, auction off a co-worker for odd jobs, etc. “Night Out” Ideas Tumblers – Host family and friends for pizza, lasagna, ribs, caesar salad and garlic toast. They charge $15 a plate, so if your team sold tickets for $25, your profit would be $10. You can print off your own tickets and sell them, but if you want Tumblers to print them off, they charge $0.25 cents. They require a minimum of 50 people and a deposit of $100 to hold your spot. TIP: If you book during the week you will have a better turn out. Phone 584-8888 and ask for Jim, Reid, Kara or Jen to book your night out. Trivia Night Out – Book an evening out for drinks and play a trivia game between co-workers or family and friends. You can put the funds towards your team’s fundraising goal and enjoy a night out with great company! Press Box – (Steak, rib or burger night). Same idea as the pizza night, you can pick between the 3 fundraisers that they have. The meals would cost $10, $12 if you include beer for steak & burger, and $11 for ribs or $13 with beer. You decide how much you want to sell the tickets for ($17-$25 is recommended). Remember the more you sell them for, the more you will raise! To get started, call 924-0111 and ask for a manager, and tell them that you would like to book a fundraiser. Note: They will print tickets for free. Golden Mile Bowling – Book lanes at the Golden Mile on a Friday or Saturday night for 1 - 5 hours. Cost is $55 per lane or for 2 hours, $60 per lane. The more lanes you book, the more tickets you can sell. Six people max can fit on a lane, and you can sell tickets for $15 -$20 per person. There are 16 lanes total you can book – you don’t need to book them all at once, just what you think you will need. The Golden Mile Bowling has a full menu and full bar for a full night of fun! Call Rick, Don or Len @ 586-2626 to book this party. Italian Night – If pasta is what you prefer, call the Italian Club at 525-8181 for a pasta night! The Tap – The Tap has steak, pizza or beer and wing nights. Steak: 7oz. steak, baked potato, bun, tossed or caesar, and 20oz draft $12.50 a plate (tickets must be sold for minimum of $20). You can book Sunday to Wednesday, 6 – 9 pm or 5 – 8 pm, for up to 140 people (note: you need to confirm 2 days ahead; so if you confirm 80 people and only 60 show up, they will still charge for 80). Pizza: all you can eat Vern's light pizza (light meaning less meat). You pick 2 kinds and it's a buffet, tossed salad buffet and 20oz draft. Beer and wings: boneless or regular wings and 2 pints from 6 – 10 pm, same price. The Tap will print tickets for free. You can sell 50/50 or have a raffle as long as you let The Tap know. Call Nancy or Jeff @ 761-2777 to book. Bonzinnis – Offers steak nights that you can book on Saturdays. This includes an 8oz steak, baked potato, garlic toast, salad and a 12oz house beer for $12. You can sell tickets for whatever price you choose ($20 - $25), they will print off tickets for free and they also have a spot for 50/50 or raffles. There is no minimum number of people, but max of 150 people. You can phone 586-3553 and talk to any manager to get started. Use your imagination! Google some fun, creative ideas to help your team raise money for KidSport! Some ideas include: Lemonade Stand, Smoothie Stand, etc. Get creative and have a little fun!
