69.
ADVERTISING S~GN STANDARDS
No advertising; sign or billboard shall be constructed, rebuilt replaced or increased
except by Special Permit granted by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Nothing
herein, however, shall require Commission permission to change the advertising on
such signs on any billboard that currently exists pursuant to these regulationso

Permit in any Regional Business District (RB) or Industrial District {LM, IPD) provided
that part of such billboard lies within fifty (50) feet from an interstate highway
(Interstate 95).
DEFINITIONS
BILLBOARD: See SIGN, ADVERTISING
SIGN, ADVERTISING: A sign which directs attention to a business, commodity, industry
or other activity which is sold, offered or conducted elsewhere than on the premises upon which sign is located, or to which is affixed, and which is sold, offered
or conducted on such premises only incidentally if at all. A.dlwe;uming sigm are
commonly, but not limited to, standardized steel structures that carry messages.

STANDARDS AND CONTROLS
l.n granting a Special Permit, the following standards and controls for adveriidlff!gj
signs shall be adhered to:
1. No adweriisong sign may be located on any buiBdung or other ~dmd11Jrre, except
on a dmd11Jrre specifically and exclusively designed to hold such sign,

3. No advertising sign shall be permitted on any H@ffe having less than o ne hundred
( 100) feet of sfreef frontage.

area greater than three hundred sixty (360) square feet.

than 35 feet above the crown of the interstate high\AiOY in the travel direction
