Dave Davis Memorial Scholarship
Dave Davis was a long time board member of the South Florida Business Aviation Association and
selflessly gave back to the community in both time and energy. After losing his battle with cancer in
2014, the SFBAA decided to create a college scholarship in his honor. This scholarship is geared towards
those high school seniors who have made an outstanding contribution of community service over the
course of their high school career. We are looking for candidates who exemplify Dave’s most
outstanding traits: thoughtfulness, dedication, selflessness and a strong spirit. The winner of this annual
scholarship will receive a minimum of $3,500 to go towards their college education.
In order to be eligible for the Dave Davis Memorial Scholarship, the student must:
• Be a graduating high school senior in Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties
• Have a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA
• Have created or taken part in an exceptional community service program, with a dedication of
at least 300 hours towards a single effort
• Plan to enroll in a four year college/university
• Complete the attached application and submit the required essay
• Provide a letter of recommendation from an advisor of the community service program, or
equivalent
