Making Connections: You need to call all of the 6th graders to tell them

yourself. You come up with a plan: You start by calling 2 of your friends
the first day. Then, the next day, they each call 2 of their friends, and the
following day, those people call 2 of their friends. If this pattern
continues in the same fashion, how many people will have been notified
after 9 days? Use exponents to solve this problem.

A power has two parts:
