2006 Catchable-Trout Stocking Program Changes In 2006, the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission plans to stock some 4.2 million adult trout in Commonwealth waters that are open to public fishing. This number includes the production of catchable-size trout at state fish hatcheries and trout obtained as part of a purchase contract with a commercial hatchery. This figure is similar to the number of trout stocked during the 2005 season. As with past practice, changes for the 2006 season include the addition of new waters, the removal of waters from the stocking program, and the expansion of the stocking program in several waters. by Tom Greene photo-Art Michaels Bushkill Creek, Monroe County www.fish.state.pa.us Pennsylvania Angler & Boater • January-February 2006 7 New waters photo-Art Michaels C r oss FFo ork , P Po Co o t ttee r C o u n ttyy .
