On the Ionian Islands off the west coast of Greece, Hellas shows her greenest side: Pure nature, the
crystal clear blue shimmering Ionian Sea and centuries of Venetian influences dominate the archipelago
of the Ionian Islands. From Corfu, which was the dream island of the unforgettable Austrian empress
Sissi, this journey leads us to regions which are not very well known abroad. Discover the famous island of
Ithaca which is said to have been the home of Odysseus, the unforgettable green bird sanctuary island of
Lefkas, the fantastic mountain world of Cephalonia and the beautiful olive woods of the small island of
Paxos. Enjoy the stay on board of the wooden motor yacht and let yourself be pampered by the excellent
Greek cuisine and the coziness of the ship!
1st Day (Sat) Corfu town (Embarkation)
Individual arrival by plane and subsequent transfer to the ship. Check in on the Panagiota from 2 pm on.
Dinner on board. Overnight stay in Corfu town.
2nd Day (Sun) Corfu Island – Sivota – Parga – Lefkas Island (aprx. 18 mi./28 km)
Cast off! In the morning we cross over to Sivota on the mainland of Greece. There our first cycle tour starts and
leads us to Parga beautifully situated below a Venetian fortress which towers over the old town. Here the boat
awaits us to take us on a long cruise to Nidri on Lefkas Island. On our way we pass a witty swing-bridge which
connects Lefkas with the Greek mainland. You spent the night in the lively harbour of Nidri.
3rd Day (Mon) Lefkas Island (aprx. 18 mi./29 km)
Todays cycle route takes us first from Nidri to a nearby waterfall. If you are lucky it carries still enough water
for a refreshing morning swim. Along quiet roads through the mountains past Sivros we cycle later to the
harbour in Vasiliki. After a short sail we anchor at Porto Katsiki, one of the most famous beaches in Greece, for
swimming. Then the ship brings us to Fiskardo on Cephalonia, where we spend the night. The harbor town on
the Northern point of the island charms visitors with its colorful houses and numerous cafés and bars along the
picturesque harbor promenade.
4th Day (Tue) Cephalonia Island (aprx. 28 mi./45 km)
Today’s cycle tour leads us from Fiskardo to Sami. We cycle along the impressive mountain pass at the eastern
coast of the island. We will have lots of unforgettable views, like the panoramic view to the neighbour island of
Ithaca. After a refreshing break we continue cycling. On the way we may visit the limestone (stalactite and
stalagmite) caves of Melissani, which can only be viewed in row boats and charms you with electrifying clear
water in various shades of blue. In the late afternoon we cruise to Vathy on the Ithaca Island.
5th Day (Wed) Islands of Ithaca and Meganisi (aprx. 13 + 8 mi./21 + 13 km)
In the Morning we cycle on the Ithaca Island. The homeland of the mythical king Odysseus, is a hilly island with
a beautiful landscape. On today’s cycle route we can enjoy the typical character of the Ionian Islands away
from the beaten tourist track: gnarled olive trees, crystal clear water and friendly islanders – time appears to
stand still on Ithaca. From Frikes the Panagiota takes us to the small island of Meganisi. On the way we pass
the private island of the influential ship-owner Aristoteles Onassis. Meganisi is a tiny island with lots of charm,
which we explore in the afternoon in no time by bicycle.
6th Day (Thu) Mytikas – Lefkas – Paxos (aprx. 30 mi./49 km)
Early in the morning crossover to Mytikas on the Greek mainland. From Mytikas we cycle along the coast and
further on panoramic roads, passing some mountain villages like Paleiros until we reach Lefkas town, where
your ship awaits you. In the afternoon we sail to Paxos Island, whose unique natural harbor in Gaios creates a
special island atmosphere. We can spend the evening in one of the cozy taverns of Gaios.

7th Day (Fri) Islands of Paxos and Corfu (aprx. 14 mi./23 km)
Paxos, the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands is a grove of olive trees, which gives the island its wonderful
silver green color. On today’s cycle trip we circle the island. We can have our last swim in the Mediterranean on
one of the many beaches. After lunch the boat brings us back to Corfu town, and after dinner on board our last
evening takes place a traditionally last get-together in a cozy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.
8th Day (Sat) Corfu town (Disembarkation)
After breakfast, check-out and individual return home or extended stay in Greece.
Changes:
We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions
as well as organizational requirements.
Requirements (Level 3):
The cycle routes require an advanced level of fitness from the participants. The daily routes have a length of 12
- 31 mi. (20 - 50 km). They lead through hilly or mountainous areas and will be completed without any timeconstraints. The cycle tours will have an altitude of 1,000 – 2,300 ft. (300 - 700 m). There are also some
extended climbs where walking your bicycle is of course permitted. Most of the roads are asphalted and rarely
frequented. Your tour guide informs you each day about the tour details. You can either decide to cycle alone,
using the information and maps provided, or join one of our tour guides or other participants. Helmet use is
mandatory on all cycle tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet. Cycle
helmets are available on board in limited number (on request). You are free to set aside a half or full day to
swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned cycle tour.
Children:
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle
tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height
for a rental bike is 1.30 m (4”3’)
Accommodation:
Comfort Boat PANAGIOTA (all cabins with shower/toilet)
The Panagiota, our boat in Greece, is an affectionately restored two masted motor yacht, which is 23 ft. (7m)
wide and 75 ft. (23m) long. It was built in 1990 and modernized in 2001 in conformity with the requirements of
cruises. 6 cabins below deck and 4 cabins above deck are at the guests’ disposal. All cabins are air-conditioned
and equipped with a double bed (4,6 ft. wide) and in some cabins there is also one single bunk bed located
above the double bed. To each cabin belongs a private shower and toilet. Below deck cabins have a porthole
to provide air, if air-condition is switched off. When the weather conditions are fine the guests can have the
meals outside on the shaded rear deck instead of eating in the spacious saloon. The sun deck, equipped with
cozy mats, invites to have a sun bath and to relax.
Catering:
The cook on board is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The
catering starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.

With three persons sharing a cabin, we allow a 50 % discount on the base tour price for the 3rd
person, regardless of age, and do not charge the above-deck surcharge.
Children up to age 16 receive a 25 % discount on the base tour price (not combinable with the 50 %
discount).
In combination with another Islandhopping boat tour in Greece you get for the second trip a
reduction of 100 euro per person.
Early-Bird discount: receive a 5% discount on the tour base price if your booking reaches us before the
31.01.2017 (combinable with the SEA-YOU-AGAIN discount).
SEA-YOU-AGAIN discount: all guests booking the third or more tour directly over Islandhopping will
receive a 5% discount on the tour base price (combinable with the Early-Bird discount).
