EVENT INFORMATION
FLOWER CEREMONY
The competitors ranked one through three in the XCO competitions are requested to present themselves for the flower
ceremony in the center of the finish area stadium immediately after the end of the competition.
AWARD CEREMONY
The award ceremonies will be held according to the official
program. Athletes 1.– 5. will be rewarded in all men and
women XCO Elite categorie. Athletes placed one, two and
three of each competition will be awarded medals in gold,
silver and bronze accompanied by certificates for the TOP 6.
The national anthem of the winner will be played.
TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
The Organizing Committee is able to organize transport upon
the request from the Prague, Brno, Vienna or Bratislava
Airports to Nové Město and back. Please reserve your
transportation directly with Radka Vernerová (the Chief of
transport) at the [email protected]

The competitions will be held according to the valid UCI
Rules in their current version.

PRIZE-MONEY PAYMENT
Price money will be paid in cash in the event office straight
after each race when the results are confirmed official.

SECURITY
Same as in previous years, the entire World Cup area will be
(Starting with Wednesday 20th May) controlled day and night
by security agency. As many of the World Cups, including
Nové Město na Moravě, have been a centre to organized
bicycle thefts remind all of you to be watchful and not to
leave your bike unattended – in the World Cup area as well
as in places of your accommodation. If any of the teams
wishes to take extra safety precautions, we offer our security
agency for hiring of personal safety control, either at your
team area or the place of your accommodation. The price
for the service is 8 EUR / hour and the service can be book
via our Team Zone / Expo Zone Manager Filip Reiskup at the
email fi[email protected] by Monday 15th
of May 20:00 CET.

The centre for the event is the area of the XC skiing, biathlon
and newly also MTB stadium named Vysočina Arena by
Nové Město na Moravě, the Czech Republic. The stadium
is located in the heart of the Vysocina highland, one of the
most visited and most beautiful tourist regions in the Czech

Republic. The stadium at Nové Město na Moravě lies 620
metres above sea-level. The terrain stretches between 610
– 720 metres above sea-level. The venue is about 30 km
distant from the major highway connecting the capital Prague
with the 2nd largest city in the country Brno.

TEAM MANAGERS MEETING
will be held on Friday 19th May at 17:00 in the conference
room on the 2nd floor of the OC AREA BUILDING next to the
biathlon shooting range.
DOPING CONTROLS will be performed in accordance
with the UCI stipulations. The control will be made in the
building (where the media centre is located) behind the stands
B – on the ground floor of the media center. Will be signed.

Starting from Thursday (18th May) 8:00 a.m.,
the access into the Nové Město arena will be allowed only
for persons and vehicles with accreditation - UCI Rainbow
passes or NMNM World Cup event accreditations.

BIRELL MTB NIGHT RACE
COURSE PLAN
3.5 km / 130 m
BIRELL MTB NIGHT RACE
Traditional Birell MTB Night Race will
be held on Saturday evening. It’s that
kind of a race that you can push hard
from start to finish; or rather enjoy it in
the training tempo, but with maximum
fun! The race takes place on lightened
biathlon tracks and many participants
often start in bizarre costumes and
show off some truly amazing stunts.
But there are also some guys, who take
it 100% seriously: the front of the pack
is pushing it full throttle! Don’t hesitate
to take part even if you want to take it
relaxed and without a costume, you
definitely won’t be alone out there!
The race circuit is over 3 km long
with wide and paved surface. The
race is held for 40 minutes + 1 lap.
At the start line you will meet World
Cup team mechanics and other team
members including even the Team
Managers of renowned names. Birell
MTB Night Race is definitely something
you should’t miss! And if you don’t
participate as an athlete, a role of
spectator is a must!
