What is a
prefix?
A prefix is a word
part placed at the
beginning of a
word and changes
the meaning.
Example: incomplete
The root word is complete. A root word is the main
component of meaning in a word.
complete- to finish
When in- is added to the beginning of the word, it
changes its meaning.
The prefix in- means not.
incomplete- not finished
