Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy Memorial Golf Tournament Title Co-Sponsors: Axis Roof & Gutter and Motor Trucks Tournament Sponsor: The Archdiocese of Seattle The AMHS Wildcat Football Team Scramble Format: · Men will play from the blue tees, women will play from the silver green tees. · Every player hits every shot until the ball is holed. Your team selects the best shot and all players hit from within 1 club length of the ball, no closer to the hole. · Each team must use 3 tee shots from every player in the group · Once the ball is on the green, the ball must be played from that spot only. Mark the location with a tee in the green 3 inches to the right of the ball. (No Gimmies!) · Captain records 1 score and tracks whose drive was used. Licorice (6 feet per team) may be purchased for $20.00 per team. The length of the Licorice may be substituted for a stroke as long as the ball is within the length of the remaining amount of licorice. Licorice may not be used for an award on the par threes, or to guarantee a chance in the “inside the circle” contest. However, licorice may be used on the par threes for improving team score. EXAMPLE: After all players have putted, the closest putt is 10 inches from the hole. The captain pulls the licorice from the edge of the cup to the front of the closest ball and bites that length off. The ball has then been holed for score purposes on the preceding putt. Someone Made It! Mulligans may be purchased at $20.00 for a set of two, which may be used for any shot during the round, including putts. Mulligans may not be used for an award on the par threes, however they may be used to improve the team score by allowing an extra opportunity to hole a shot, or get the ball closer to the hole. Teams with 3 players may take a total of 4 shots on each ball by alternating each player to be the designated 2-shot maker on each hole. That designated player will play 2 shots on his or her hole and the shots cannot be consecutive (i.e., hit 1 & 4 or 2 & 4 ). The designated player may count only his or her 1 shot for the purposes of the par 3 hole-in-one awards. Four tee shots are required for each player on a 3 player team. st th nd th st Scoring Tie Breaker Rules *In case of ties, the following method of matching cards will be used: · The score for the last 9 holes will be used to determine the winner.
